I've been using this retinal for over a year now, and wow! What a difference! My skin is super sensitive and breaks out on anything. But this stuff? It's been an absolute game-changer. It's like magic in a bottle. You only need a pea sized amount for your whole face. My blemishes and old acne marks have almost completely faded, and I'm even noticing my fine lines starting to disappear. The best part? No crazy breakouts from it! I love it so much I always keep a backup bottle in my cupboard. I never, ever want to run out.

My skin is beautiful with the use of this product-Retinol. \nMy skin looks youthful and it is blemish free and even skin tone. This is my second tube. Outstanding price, which makes it easy to use consistently. I highly recommend it as a part of your skin care regimen.

Need to revisit my previous review after initially rejecting this product because it gave me the uglies, or so I thought. 'Too drying, caused way too much crinkling around the eyes, and peeling,' is what I saw in the mirror every morning, so I gave up and went back to the Retinol 1% in Squalene which I've used for years. But decided to do a little more digging before realizing, duh!...all my own fault. I was using too much product, two pumps because one didn't seem like enough, (what I get from being too eager and not reading instruction). And I took a cue from The Nightly Set by adding HA before, and Rose Hip Seed Oil after. And remember, easy around the eyes, until you know how your skin reacts. Now this product works like a dream, allowing me to up my Vit A game, and experience great results. Love it!

J'ai acheté ce produit fin août, je trouvais que c'était très cher... C'était une erreur, on ne doit appliquer qu'une toute petite quantité de produits, ce qui le fait durer très longtemps. Je savais que ça allait être efficace sur mon type d'acné (acné kistique, seuls traitements = tretinoides), mais je ne m'attendais pas à une telle efficacité. Nous sommes le 20 octobre, depuis 15 jours mes boutons sont très rares et plus petit, et là, depuis une semaine environ, je n'ai pas un seul nouveau bouton. Je vais commander un autre flacon aujourd'hui pour être sûre de ne pas en manquer, mais sachez, que ça peut vraiment valoir le coup. Attention cependant, c'est bien indiqué sur le flacon, pensez à la protection solaire, c'est obligatoire avec ce type de produits.

Je m'attendais à un bon résultat sur mon acné (lecture d'études sur les traitements de l'acné kistique) mais pas à ce point. Il est le 20 octobre, déjà depuis deux semaines, les derniers kistes que j'ai eu était vraiment minuscules, et là... Je n'ai plus que des cicatrices qui disparaissent très vite, je n' ai pas eu de réaction cutanée ni de gêne à l'application, je vais en commander un autre aujourd'hui, de ne pas en manquer. Pour rappel, avec le retinal, c'est protection solaire obligatoire, mais avec l'acné, j'avais déjà l'habitude.

For context, I have dry, acne-prone skin. I've been using various drug retinols for over a year. I also use a benzoyl peroxide wash every night, Faded for acne scars, a good moisturizer, and salicylic acid once a week. Still I always get whitehead on the sides of my face and chin. Plus I'm a skin picker so if there IS something there I tend to find it and make it worse. I feel like this retinal is just that little bit stronger that I needed to finally get rid of those stubborn spots. It feels like my skin is finally healing. I haven't gotten any irritation but also my skin is very used to product at this point.

To be honest i have mixed feelings about this product. Seems to work well but every so often gives me red patch here or there. Wonder if its due to hormons all over from menopause? Anyway singe my wrinkles are getting more visible, i decide to act. Imusing it for almoust a year together with HA, and other Ordinary products. Nice thick texture, yellow colour a bit problematic so always apply before bed time. Moisturise well. Quite strong, might need mixing with moisturiser

I was SO excited when The Ordinary released this product. I had been an avid fan of Avene Oxitive Night Peeling for years until for some stupid reason it was discontinued. And then The Ordinary came to my rescue with a retinal serum with an even higher percentage. Alas, it has a critical problem. As with all retinoids, this product should be used at night, however this serum STAINS SO BAD that I make a mess of my bedsheets. Sure, I can use it during the day on the days when I don't have to leave the house, but then I'm left with a yellow face and hands. This never happened to me with me previous retinal serum. PLEASE, The Ordinary, I beg you! I want to love this so much! If there is a way to fix this problem, please work on it!

I bought this a month ago and feels nice on the skin but stains white linen yellow badly.

I was using Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane for a long time and was quite happy with it. Since I am almost 55, aging skin is my biggest concern. So it made sense for me to switch to a much more potent serum. I started using it as recommend. First shaking the bottle, then turning it upside down (and keeping it that way). The serum comes out perfectly, no problems so far. \n\nI started out with once a week, then twice a week, now I am using it every couple of days - at night time. I use two small pumps on my face and neck. \n\nThe serum is yellow and it does seem to stain a bit. So be careful with white sheets. \n\nAfter applying it, I feel a little dryness, but that subsides the next day. \n\nI feel my skin looks fresher, firmer, brighter and I will definitely continue using it.

Only been using a week as I had to get a replacement before trying. The pump didn't work. I tried the tapping instructions provided by The Ordinary as a work around. I tapped with the lid on, and pumped forever and ever, tapped more, banged the end. Not a single drop of product. I've got a replacement now which works, but it's still a bit hit and miss - not like a normal pump. Given other users' experiences and the fact they have to give these troubleshooting on the page itself suggests it's a manufacturing problem. \nJust to clarify - the product itself seems great (although I've only used for two weeks, and I expect retinal to take months to work), but the pump really wasn't working. I'll update in a few months with a review of the product effectiveness.

It’s too early to tell if it’s done any major repairs to my fine lines and wrinkles but I have high hopes for it. It’s a great product and at this price point I say give it a try.

I'm normally a big fan of products from the ordinary. Their packaging is always simplistic and leads to a clean back to basic feel. This product had a texture similar to moisturizer lotion, smooth creamy and a good consistency, And this retinoid is sent free, good for people with sensitive skin. The price of products from this line are always very reasonable and budget friendly. As for this product I have not totally sold. I applied the product as directed once every few nights and immediately followed with moisturizer during my nighttime routine. Each morning that I woke up my skin felt tighter and appeared very dull. I'm assuming this is due to exfoliation Of dead skin cells. With longer and more frequent use. Maybe I would have a different outcome. I'm going to continue to give this a little longer try on a more frequent basis and see if I have better results.

I was lucky to be chosen to review a new product of ordinary called Retinal Emulsion. I’m 48 and behind the ball in my skin care routines. I recently started using Retinals and this was only the second brand I’ve tried so I do not have a lot to compare it to. With that said. The cream was yellow so I was kind of worried, but once spread it blends right in. I do not smell any scent so that would be good for anyone sensitive to scented products. I did not have any irritation even while using nightly for 2 weeks. I didn’t see any noticeable changes but I’m guessing that could be because I’m newer to retinals. I hope with continued use I’ll see improvement. I will continue to use this nightly until complete. Then I’ll reassess if I’d buy again or try something stronger.

I received this Ordinary Retinal Emulsion and after using this product for only 2 weeks nows I have started seeing results with my fine lines and wrinkles. This is truly the first product that I've ever used that I've been able to notice visible results. The color is this cream is a bright yellow and is very silky. A little bit goes a long ways and does not leave my skin greasy. My skin can sometimes be sensitive to products but so far I have not experience any redness or dryness from using this nightly. I like that this has no smell and the pump bottle makes it super easy to apply. Even tho the bottle is small, I feel that it will last awhile. I can't wait to continue to use this The Ordinary Retinal Emulsion and definitely recommend it!

All I have to say is wow! This product actually works and does what it claims. After using it for two weeks I've seen visible results. From reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots, to smoothing and brightening my skin. Honestly my skin has never looked or felt better. It absorbs quickly and it has a natural scent which I love. Also don't be alarmed when the product comes out yellow. It's suppose to be! I've tried many different brands retinol products and never saw any results after months of use. This one is a MUST HAVE in your skincare routine. You also can't beat the price!
