Cream arrived damaged little less than a month ago and I still can’t get anyone to mail me out a new cream

The retinol 1.0 is perfect for my skin. What I like is it's not so overpowering that if applied everyday it won't make your skin red and blotchy like some can. It's smooth and kind to your skin. I have tried many retinols, but this is the master cake! It's good to your skin and it's terrific for sensitives. I really recommend for anyone using retinols or even any of the skin products from SkinCeuticals should stay away from the sun. These are serious products so they should be used wisely. You can see the difference of rejuvenation of a turnover of cell production with retinol.

The retinol 1.0 really works! So much better than .5. I don't use the pea size as directed.

This is a solid retinol- I got very little if any irritation going from .5 to 1.0 with this formula. Still seeing great results with fewer lines and spots, plus skin looks dewy.

I love this retinol as you know exactly the percentage. If your skin is not use to retinol, i would not recommend starting with this. I like that i actually peel after using it. Makes me feel like im getting a new skin after peeling.

This is a good product but just take care to use the correct amount to avoid your skin drying.

I didn't like when The first time I used it, it was way too harsh for me. I had been using 2 years of 1% retinol booster from Paula's choice and had no problem with it. But I got serious damage burning look, after Using three times of SkinCeuticals retinol. so I decided to try 0.5% retinol instead of directly using 1%. After I use 0.5% of SkinCeuticals's retinol for a half a year, I saw results. To be honest, I hate skincare products containing alcohol, but this product is truly wonderful! Even containing alcohol in it!! It shows excellent results in the way of controlling my acne!!!! This one is better than any kind of acne creams which contains BP that I have used. After using SkinCeutical's 1%retinol, I rarely get breakout anymore and I only use it three times a week. Huge improvement for my acne, but skin always get irritating for sure. It is quite hard to make me give it up.

I've used this retinol for almost three weeks and I can already see a massive improvement in my skin. My face is smoother and brighter. I also have fewer issues with hyperpigmentation and redness. \n\nI did not follow instructions and started using it every night, as opposed to twice a week. Big mistake - my skin was a total wreck for a few days with peeling, itching and it was so parched. \n\nHowever, I read about the buffering technique, where you later on a thick moisturizer and then the retinol on top. The results are still effective and it made a huge difference in my tolerance for the retinol. For reference, I use the CeraVe moisturizing cream with hyaluronic acid. But my goal is to get to just the retinol at night. \n\nYou may also want to consider the .3 or .5 versions to start as well. \n\nBut overall, I'm extremely pleased with this retinol.

This product is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time, because due to ageing, I had started losing confidence in myself. When I first started using it, I had to stop as I had a massive case of dryness and peeling because of the overzealous way i started out. Months later, I decided to go back to it and needless to say, I was more careful and bam! my face started changing and became smoother and more youthful. The pores too became fewer. \nI have to point out that I've not built a strong tolerance to it as I still dry out if I put on too much product or if I use it daily, so I use it twice a week and it still works wonders for me. \nIf still on the fence about this product (Retinol 1.0 Maximum Strength Refining Night Cream by Skinceuticals) just jump!! But make sure to have a soft landing.......lol

I too was looking forward to using this product. However, I can not get the dispenser to pump correctly. I have tried everything. Pumping quickly in rapid succession does not work. Pumping very slowly does not work. Pumping at a medium rate does not work either. Since many people seem to complain of this same problem, I simply cannot understand why Skinceuticals hasn't fixed this! It seems crazy that a flaw design in the pump cannot be fixed immediately. I will have to return the product. Too bad because I really wanted to give it a try.

When I first used this product it burned a little . I think I put to much on and started out using every night . Then I put less on and started using twice a week and than slowly built up to every other night . No more burning at all. I have some light line beside my mouth. Just suddenly seemed like they appeared. I first saw them in a picture when I was 49. I am 50 now. I have been using this product for eight months. I have noticed my lines are about 30% less noticeable. I will keep on using the product. It is a little high for my budget, but a small amount goes a long way. I am on my second bottle it last me six months. I am hoping even more results in time. I have heard it takes six months to a year. I am happy with this product.

My husband and I both use the Retinol 1.0. We had to work up to this strength from the .5. Now we are able to use the 1.0 daily without many side effects like redness or drying. I noticed a very significant reduction in the size of my husband’s pores. He is 50, and the Retinol 1.0 is making his skin smoother and reducing wrinkles as well. For me, I’ve seen a reduction of fine lines and my skin has a more youthful glow. I recommend starting slowly with retinol. My husband’s Skin can tolerate retinoids very well but for me, I have to be mindful to not apply too much product. l started of using the .05% about 4 years ago then progressed to the 1% used as directed now after 3 years l can use the 1% daily although l try not to use it that often ,l also use glycolic and antioxidants, l am 61 and my skin has improved greatly wrinkles, brown spots and texture, l get many complements on my skin and l always show anyone who is interested my creams of which the Retinol gives by far the best results , the years fly bye and l am so glad i started using these creams years ago , just for the record my skin did go through stages of redness dryness and peeling , l have very mild peeling when l use the glycolic now , but no problems with Skinceuticals 1% retinol , l would recommend it to everyone as a long term anti ageing treatment stick with it it works.
