The Ordinary Melasma Treat Combo

I've been using this for a few months and I noticed a difference early on. I pat it on with fingers (it's like water) and let it dry. I use it every morning after washing and only need a small amount of moisturiser as it doesn't feel drying. I'm in my 70s and it's brightened my skin totally - a brilliant product!

I started using this product about two weeks ago and let me tell you this is the key for clearing hormonal acne!!! I have been trying products for months and nothing helped. Two weeks and it made such a difference my acne decreased and this faded my hyperpigmentation like wow. Try it!!

I bought this product 20 days ago, and wow, the change is already noticeable. It doesn't irritate the skin, the changes are quickly visible, my skin is soft, and it's super easy to use. After trying many other brands, this one has become my favorite. I recommend it 100%.

I've been using this for about 2 years now and while I still get a pimple here and there I no longer get any big break outs. I forgot to order the azelaic acid last time I ran out and for the 2 weeks I procrastinated getting it I had massive breakouts on my forehead that went away when I restarted my use. This definitely helps me control my acne!

Been using this toner for a couple years now, def a staple now. I know your not “supposed to” but i use with my retinol nightly. Then my am routine is hydration/ antioxidant repair.. i always get compliments on my skin

Best products ever. It takes time for it to work for me cause my face was bad. I wanted to have the glass look I saw on social media. So I decided to buy all the products that face need. 2 weeks ago I added the Anua niamicin to beauty regimen cuz I wanted the products to work fast. All those products, I rotate them to different. I was never comfortable to take pics without selfie. Now,vi have nothing to be afraid of. I can't wait to see what my face is going to look like in 3 months. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

New packaging is terrible. The bottle does not have a seal as before and product leaks. You're paying for an empty bottle now. Don't waste your money. I will not repurchase again unless the bottle is sealed as it was before.

I’ve been using the glycolic toner for a few weeks and it changed my life. As you can see in the left photo, my skin is so inflamed, red, puffy, oily and dull. I’ve been using it every day for 3 weeks as my nighttime skin care routine. I apply sunscreen every morning before I do my makeup too. I had been so insecure to not wear makeup because my skin was always red and oily. And putting on foundation with my skin like that didn’t even look that great. My redness would always seep through. After 3 weeks, my skin is so brand new. My makeup looks so much better on my brand new skin!! I love it. I’ll be buying this for the rest of my life!

I’ve been using this to lighten my sun damage/hyper pigmentation and the results speak for themselves. It’s also made my pores smaller. And it doesn’t dry my skin out. Love it.

Bought a few months ago but finally worked it into my routine. Happy with the feel but unfortunately it crumbles and piles up underneath my The Ordinary moisturiser. And I can't use it under my foundation either for the same reason. I'll have to use it longer to see the results but I don't think I'll buy it again due to the crumbling.

Big fan of the product, I was using it along my usual routine of niacinamide and zinc and retinol on alternative nights. Introduced it as once a week and build it up to 2-3 times max (more often doesn't seem to make a difference - if anything it becomes too irritating). At first I wasn't sure if it was doing much... Until I ran out - which was very fast with the 30ml size. Suddenly my hormonal acne started taking forever to get rid off, so I immediately bought the 100ml version :D The only thing I dislike is how little product there is in the 30ml version and that I had to go at great lengths to get everything out of the tube. Just buy the bigger size, the small one isn't worth it.

I have been using this for a week in the day time. It has made a significant difference in just one week.\nAcne scars are less red and have faded.

I think the Ordinary reformulated this product without identifying any change. I had been using this for years and it worked really well for my sensitive skin. In Dec of last year, I bought a big tube from the Ordinary shop and started getting rashes. It didn’t occur to me it could be this product because I’d been using it for years. I bought subsequent tubes. I’ve been around the houses for months to doctors trying to work out what was irritating my skin and just now learned it was reformulated at that time my rashes started. Deciem, you have a responsibility to flag reformulations. Also the full ingredient lists don’t appear on your site, Gutted this has caused so much misery for so long.

I have been using this product for about 2 years now. Full transparency, I have a drier skin, so I don't use this super often (maybe once or twice per week), but I definitely see a difference when I use it! I get hormonal breakouts once per month and this is my go-to when I see my skin start to react. It also works great in summer when my skin gets congested from all of the sunscreen and sweat from being outdoors. I use a gentle oil cleanser, exfoliate my skin, and then apply a decent layer of this product. This absorbs quickly, does not irritate or dry out my skin, and I can still apply a moisturizer or makeup over top if needed. When I say that I start to see a noticeable result in my skin about an hour after application- I am not lying. I will continue to be loyal to this product and recommend that even people with fairly dry or sensitive skin give it a try!

I bought this to attempt to address some stubborn hormonal acne and to reduce skin texture. I absolutely love it. I've been using it for about 6 months and my acne pick axe scare are visibly smaller. I am also breaking out a lot less which is great. I even had my first facial and the aesthetician comented on what great skin texture I have. Yesterday, I saw the atologist and she said the same thing. \r\n\r\nI have sensitive dry to normal skin. My routine is below in case it is helpful for others considering this solution.\r\nAM: Wash with Cerave Hydrating Cleaners, Buffet with Copper Peptides, Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion, SPF 15\r\nPM: Was with Cerave Hyrdating Facial Cleanser, Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution, Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion\r\n2x/week AHA 2% peeling solution (these evenings I do the same PM but don't use the Glycolic Acid toning solution)

I bought the 30mL bottle after seeing a video by a atologist recommending the product. I’ve tried so many acne creams that have dried out my skin and never seemed to actually clear my acne. Started using this product in the mornings after cleansing (I also use a hyaluronic acid serum at night). It is fairly thick but still spreads evenly and quickly absorbs into the skin. I hate when products leave a film and I can still feel them on my face, but this product has a soft matte finish that I absolutely love and can easily apply moisturizer/sunscreen on top of.\r\n\r\nI have never noticed results from any acne products like this. Within a week of consistent use, my skin started clearing up and my acne scars started fading. My skin texture has also improved and become less splotchy. I have almost finished my first bottle and will soon be investing in the 100mL bottle.

This product has changed the game for my adult acne!I have oily, sensitive, dry skin. Yes, even when it's overproducing oil, it's still dry.I bought this product with hyaluronic acid + the moisturizer. The moisturizer I use only at night, as it is a bit too thick for day time use, but it also is good to put on after the Glycolic acid to reduce dryness by the acid**.There was an adjustment period with this, as they describe it is a bit tough on sensitive skin. So I started with every other day and now apply it every night. Best purchase by far to break down any build up to stop the acne before it occurs. I also noticed my acne is less cycstic than it used to be. CAUTION ABOUT THE SUN!!! This product does make your skin more prone to burns and brown spots by sun exposure. SPF is your friend with this stuff. I kind of learned the hard way with this one. Worth the try if you are acne prone!

PLEASE Make a non drying formula!!! Though this has improve some pigmentation and was great for hormonal acne, there are some major setbacks to this formula. I have combination skin yet find this formula very drying even on my oily areas. This product is incredibly hard to spread on your skin and takes a great deal of product! You have to use a moisturizer after it, which is annoying when you have a lengthy regimen as it is. Not only do you have to use moisturizer over it, but it's best to wait 10-15 minutes so your skin absorbs it before you add a moisturizer on top. Also you must use a primer after using this product if you are going to wear makeup. I would love to re-purchase this if the formula changes or if Ordinary offers it in an emulsion or solution. I was hoping this would work as well as GIGI Bioplasma Azelaic Cream because it runs for $35 When ordinary is under $8!

I think this is my favorite product, though I have geeked out hard on this brand and love many of your products. My atologist said my skin has never looked this good and I'm only knocking off a star because I use this product twice a day and think a larger size is necessary. Trying to be good to the environment and buying smaller bottles more frequently feels like it could improve...fingers crossed you can start offering larger than 30ml options (or that you start a bottle return program!). Been using it for three weeks and love it.. Wish I took a photo before to compare as it's harder to judge the effectiveness on my dark spots but my skin just seems to be much smoother in texture and my acne scarring! I use this at night only and pair with a toner, salicylic acid for spots, hyaluronic acid, natural moisturizing factors, and sometimes either plant derived squaline and/or rosehip oil if I feel dry. Totally agree with other reviewers, would love this in a bigger tube as I feel like I've used 80% of the bottle in three weeks. It soaks in super fast and is a dry feeling spread which makes me need more at every application - think about two pea sizes is a normal use for me. My new trick however is to use a facial spray prior to application which helps the formula cover more of my face. I let it sit for a while longer than putting it straight on dry skin however, since it's wet.

I am loving everything I bought from The Ordinary line including this. I don't know what exactly is working for me but my routine so far is:AM: Niacinamide & Zinc, Azelaic Acid 10%, Matrixyl 10%PM: Niacinamide & Zinc, Retinol 2% Emulsion, Matrixyl 10%, Rose Hip Seed oilI alternate my PM routine with L-Ascorbic powder and Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% ( no Niacinamide w/L-Ascorbic powder and no Retinol 2% w/Alpha Lipoic acid )Once a week I use the AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution for 10 minutesI have fair, combination skin that is very prone to breakouts, and semi-sensitive. I have not had any adverse reactions with what I'm using, and my skin is loving it. Some people said the Azelaic Acid 10% pills under makeup. I noticed that the first time I used it and switched to rubbing it between my fingers first, then patting in all over my face, and no more pilling! I love this line of skin care :)

J'utilise ce produit depuis seulement 4 jours et je remarque déjà les effets. Mes potes se ressèrent et les points noirs disparaissent au fur et à mesure des jours.Quelques petits picotements après se font ressentir mais cette sensation ne dure que quelque seconde. I love this toner so much I've bought it for my friend who also suffers from adult acne. I have a science degree and I love how this company explains the product, research behind it, and effectiveness. It really shows they know what they are talking about. I used to be on Rodan & Fields but it was SO expensive and they were very ambiguous/unclear about the active ingredients. That's why at Deciem I love that I know exactly what each ingredient is for and what I'm getting. This toner transformed my skin and helped with acne and, dry flakes, and dullness. I stockpile this so I never run out! HIGHLY recommend adding this to your regimen if you are acne prone or have dullness! This is so affordable! I totally do not trust any other skin care company now, seeing as how much they markup the product and how unclear it is on what is actually in the product.

i love it. i always tried to find something that would work for my combination acne prone skin with a lot of blackheads. basically the whole ordinary line is great and i love it i tried a lot of products now and want to try everything so i'm looking forward to it. \n so azelaic acid is amazing for acne scars. i didn't know that azelaic acid even exists (same with a lot of products here) but i'm glad i tried it it's a bit tingly but i love tingling on my face and i try a lot of acids. this one is one of my favorites. can't wait to see more products from you \n it's a bomb with niacinamide which is one of my favorites too \n\n Good luck Deciem and Ordinary.
