The Ordinary Glycolipid Cream Cleanser 150ml

I bought this because it was on sale and i needed a new cleanser. I have used this for a whole year along with Niacinamide 10%+Zinc and Natural Moisturizing Factors+ phyto ceramide. I have combined skin and live in an extra dry climate. This cleanser provides me the deep clean that is enough to remove daily oil, light sunscreen and stuff from regular daily activities when i’m not using full makeup, but not too rough for the extra dry environment.

I’ve been using this cleanser for 6 months now, and waited this long to put a review after getting some results and I’m really impressed. It soothes the skin instantly without leaving any tight or dry feeling as I got with other clensers which made me avoid using a clenser for many years. So this is a huge win for my dry facial skin. After consistent use, I noticed it cleanses thoroughly the white heads I had a clearer skin.\nThe formula feels light and refreshing, and it leaves my face feeling clean, calm, and balanced. No harsh chems or fragrance so it is best for my sensitive inflammatory prone skin. Not an influencer, just sharing my experience, honest opinion with this product with you ♡

I have used many products from The Ordinary, and I understand the reasoning of making products fragrance free. I prefer washable cleansers, and while I am perfectly happy with performance of this cleanser so far, it has a discernible but quite unpleasant smell. Not sure if it is meant to smell like sour milk, or whether I have been sent a faulty product, but is sufficiently off-putting to mean that I will not repurchase this.

This cleanser doesn’t dry my skin out. \nIt has a light and pleasant coconut scent to it. \nI have had to stop using all of The Ordinary products I own because my skin has become bumpy and rough to the touch. I have tried to figure out what is causing the problem that I didn’t have before, but since stopping using all The Ordinary products, my skin is not getting any softer. I used to have dry skin in the winter but I now have a face full of bumps and rough feeling and looking skin. I always got compliments on how nice my skin was but now people are noticing that it’s not looking the same.

For a normal wash, the Glycolipid Cream Cleanser may be okay, but don't expect it to remove makeup. \r\n\r\nI don't wear a lot of makeup, so I was surprised that I had such a difficult time removing the little I had on. This cleanser forced me to wash my face three times, just to get the last of my mascara off, which isn't even a waterproof mascara.\r\n\r\nSince the cleanser had such a difficult time removing such a small amount of makeup, I'm concerned that it also doesn't clean my skin effectively in one wash.\r\n\r\nFor now, I'll stick to something that I know (Squalane Cleanser) that both removes makeup effectively and cleans my skin properly.

Recently started using this. Gentle on my skin but leaves it feeling clean. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using this product for almost a year if not more, & I love it. My face does not break out, or dry out. It’s gentle & effective

This is the second time I purchased this cleanser. Initially, I didn't think it did a good job washing away my make-up, but I wasn't using it correctly. I found that it works fantastic if I used it before getting my face or hands wet. While in the shower, I lather it, but it doesn't lather ;) in my dry hands then rub/wash my dry face with just the cleanser and then rinse my face with water while continuing to wash my face. After my shower all of make-up is washed clean off my face. This is the first cleanser I have ever used that removes all my eye liner and mascara with just one washing. I don't know how it is for waterproof mascara but it does remove my waterproof foundation. I am extremely happy with this cleanser, just make sure your face and hands are dry before using.

Best cleanser I have ever tried. Been using this for about a month and my skin is so much clearer and less dry. I have extremely sensitive skin and break out easily from skincare but this one has never once made my skin feel uncomfortable or irritated. Would highly recommend this cleanser.

I bought this a week ago. I have aged skin and I’m prone to painful breakouts from skin sensitivities. I have horrible reactions to foamy cleansers. This feels like I’m washing my face in coconut cream. I do use a separate make up remover for my waterproof mascara. I’ve used it every day, morning and night and so far so good. Non drying, no breakouts and my face feels clean. I ride a motorcycle and often get road grit in my pores. On those cleansing routines I just use a soft face brush to go a little harder at it. A face cloth drys my skin out too much. It’s a product that you don’t need a lot of and it washes off clean. I’m going to keep at it to the end of the tube and will likely buy it again.

okay so its been 6 months since i have started using THE Ordinary products and it never dissapointed me... and recently i have purchased this Glycolipid cream Cleanser... unaware of it being a makeup remover but when i used it for the first i was in so much awe and happy the way it felt on my face.... it made my skin soft supple and plumy ...the best cleanser i have used till now... it makes my face shine ... :)\r\nAnd now my question is... can i continue using it for cleansing like a face wash even though i do not use makeup..????

Happy with cleanser, not overly creamy but as I dont use much make up perfectly adequate.

This item is just okay. It didn't blow me away. It is much more gentle than anticipated. It does not remove make up at all with water, and even with a face cloth it requires being used twice. I use it as part of a triple cleansing routine now just to get rid of it. I would only recommend using this product if you have just woken up (after cleansing your face at night), and even then it does not feel as though it removes sweat or impurities in the crevices of your nose. I won't be re-buying the product. The feel is silky and nice, but it doesn't cut it for a cleanser. It was a flop for me. I thought about rating it 1 star but I thought that was a little harsh as the packaging is nice, the feel and consistency is nice, and washing your face with it feels nice but overall it has had no results and does not really do much for your skin.

I can't use soap on my face at all (it makes my skin dry up and break out terribly), so I have been using soapless cleansers for years. I got this for free the last time I ordered a few other products from The Ordinary that are in my regular rotation. As someone with sensitive, reactive skin, trying a new product is always hit or miss, but seeing that it was a soapless cleanser I had to try it. I love it! If you follow the directions (ie massage it into DRY skin then rinse it off with warm water) it takes most makeup off beautifully. For heavier makeup you will still need a separate makeup remover, but that is true of all cleansers! This cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean and healthy. I do find it just a touch drying, but I compensate by going heavier on moisturizer at night and that works like a charm. I will be rebuying this, for sure.

This cleanser works is great and easy to use. I mostly bought this for my teenager to use as a way to get her to properly wash her face. She has no patience to stand in front of the mirror doing a multi-step skincare routine. But, due to sensitive skin, hormones, and makeup, she was starting to experience breakouts. \n\nThe glycolipid cleanser has been a great fit for her because she just massages it on to her face before she gets into the shower, then rinses it off while she's in there - no fussing about! She has been using it for about a month now, and even she has noticed that her skin looks and feels better, and is less congested - all without drying out her sensitive skin. Big win.

I bought this product a few days ago, and it just came in yesterday and honestly... I'm absolutely in love with it! I've always had issues in regards of my skin, I have horrible flareups that are due to unknown causes.. after years of dealing with on and off flareups and many atologist appointments. I've came to conclusion that I have a corrupted skin barrier. This is the ONLY product that has helped my skin retain moisture and not flare after using it!!! This formula has a very creamy texture that feels luxurious and it's easy to rinse off, this product is mild enough for regular use and it doesn't leave my skin feeling sensitive.\n\nI highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an effective yet gentle cleanser to add to their skincare routine.

I quite like this. It's gentle and creamy and leaves my skin feeling smooth without being overly dry/tight. I'm personally a little on the drier side so if I use this cleanser I just need to use a more moisturizing one the next day, or use a little extra moisturizer. I think lightly oily/combo skin would also really enjoy this. The packaging is clean and sleek, I've had no issues with it leaking and I travel (car) with skincare products often in 80 degree plus weather. The price point is incredible. I'll absolutely finish this and I'll ideally purchase an ordinary product with a little more moisture. However I wouldn't be unhappy to use this again- just got my skin type I feel there's probably a better option from this brand. Trying this has made me very intrigued to try more products from the brand.

My typical cleansing method is double cleansing, and this cleanser is supposed to be two in one, eliminating one step. I’ve used this to remove my makeup and it works well but it feels like my skin isn’t completely clean but good enough since you don’t want your skin to feel “squeaky” clean. It does melt away my waterproof mascara which is incredibly impressive. I prefer to use this on days I’m not wearing makeup and it is FANTASTIC. My skin feels nourished and plump and ready for the next skincare steps! I would definitely wear this in the winter time as my skin is a lot dryer, and if you’re a dry skin girly, this would be a great cleanser for you!

I really enjoy this cleanser and I would definitely recommend it for sensitive skin. It’s very gentle and creamy! It reminds me of the cerave foaming cleanser, but this one is cruelty free which I appreciate. It’s not scented, it’s just the basic ingredients which I appreciate because my skin is prone to breakouts. The only thing I will say is that because this is so gentle, it doesn’t remove EVERYTHING, so I would definitely recommend going in with a cleansing oil or balm prior to using this, especially if you wear makeup. Overall, the ordinary is an affordable brand with amazing products, so if you’re looking for an affordable cleanser, I would definitely recommend this j

I have so many good things to say about this cleanser!!\n• First off, the cleanser is HUGE! You are getting so much product for only $12.50! (150ml/5.1 fl oz)\n• this cleanser also doubles as a makeup remover! I used it on a light face of makeup, concealer mascara & blush. It worked so good to help remove the makeup & made me feel so clean without all the gunk! \n• The cleanser can be used both dry, or wet. I prefer wet just as I feel like it works better for me personally but I love that they give it that diversity & options. \n• the last thing I want to say is that this cleanser didn’t leave my face feeling all dry & icky. I find that sometimes after I wash my face, depending on the cleanser it leaves my face feeling all dry &still & that is quite the opposite of what I want. \nI definitely think this product is worth testing out & I will be adding it to my daily regimen!

I recieved this product from influenster to review the product. These are my true feelings about the product. \nThis product is hydrating in a sense that it does not strip the skin when washing. I don't feel the immediate need to apply moisturize which is a nice feeling. I would compare this cleanser to La Roche Posay cleansers or Cerave because of the light scent and how it makes my skin feel. This product should not be marketed as a a makeup remover but with that being said I always double cleanser with any moisturizer because my usual face wash products aren't makeup removing products. Bottom line good product but should NOT be marketed as a makeup remover. \n\nI have attached photos of my hand after attempting to scrub makeup off of it using this cleanser.
