The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10% 30ml

I firsr began using mandelic acid on november 30 2020 , it is january 1st now and the difference is REMARKABLE. i wear makeup everyday and now i can actually be comfortable without it. dark spots and acne scars that have been on my face for years have lightened. my face is not perfect, but it is 60% better than before. As well, when applying makeup it goes on so smoothly and there is no texture! i love this product and will continue using it as it helps with my acne as well, i haven’t had any major breakouts while using it! i use it with the hylyuronic acid, alpha abrutin, and rosehip oil to add moisture to my face after. this acid is like an oil and it has no sent! it’s awesome

I’ve used this daily for almost a month. I’ve not had anything reduce my hyperpigmentation except very expensive laser treatments and that was still not permanent. The photos are over the course of the last month. I also used salicylic acid and a healing salve(beeswax, calendula, sea buckthorn etc). I needed to aplane the dead skin, but only had a dry patch for a couple of days and it wasn’t too bad.

I've used this ONCE, last night, and woke up with my sun spots so much lighter, and texture noticeably smoothed! I bought a mix of the following products and have been alternating to correct my redness with large pores on cheek areas, hyperpigmentation everywhere but mainly on bridge of nose and larger sun spots on outer cheek area, and to smooth smile lines. This is day 5 or 6 and I am finally for the first time in YEARS going confidently bare-faced. Kinda mad I spent so much on temporary IPL when all these products have offered a much better result. I bought this 2 weeks ago and believe me guys I have very bad clogged pores, I tried many things like loreal salicylic acid, clean and care all acne products, lactic acid but nothing help me. Even the product I mentioned peeled my skin and give me rash and marks. But since I found this product, and used it in a week I see improvement on my skin, and in just 2weeks my all clogged pores are gone. As a comparison, this product as price or quality-wise id is better than other acne products. The one thing which is my experience I observed that if you used this product with niacinamide is give you quick result. Like after applying my toner, I usually apply niacinamide and then this product.

I bought this after a sales assistant in The Abnormal Beauty Co recommended me this. I explained that my skin HATES niacinamide, vit C and glycolic acid, and I was struggling with texture, acne and acne scarring. After using this for 3 weeks, I have noticed such a difference. My skin is a LOT smoother, I have barely had a new spot since using it and my skin is significantly brighter. I was worried that this would dry my skin out, but if you use hyaluronic acid before, then moisturise after then it's fine! If anything my skin is less dry. Wish I had tried this before!

I was not familiar….I started using Mandelic acid for my underarms as a deodorant substitute and it worked really well!! I’m very impressed, held me the entire day with no order at all and I live in Miami!!! Highly recommended for light activity days😌

This is my second bottle. I use it twice a week…have to wait about 1/2 hour before stickiness is gone, then put on moisturizer.

I started to use it before 4 or 5 days......at evenings.....\r\nAfter first application I immediately noticed the difference on my skin......now.....after I used 5 evenings in a row.....my skin feels perfect...looks perfect.....huuuge difference.....\r\nI have Avery large pores.....I can see ...how they began to disappear slowly......the skin became smooth......I even can put a foundation after all....wich I could not do before.....\r\n Verry happy.....please do not discounted this product...I will definitely buy more.....\r\nThank YOU 🙏

I swear this is a magic potion. Super gentle, non-irritating—yet effective —AHA. It has never stung me. It helped me clear my congestion, and now helps me maintain clear skin. I appreciate the slightly oily texture because I have dry, sensitive skin. \r\n \r\nMandelic is my go-to. If I get lazy between exfoliations, I switch it out with TO’s Lactic Acid, which is a little more heavy duty and can sting sometimes if your skin isn’t ready for it.\r\n\r\nI’m now maintaining clear skin after years of adult acne. Mandelic Acid + HA is an essential part of my regime—I’ve repurchased a couple times and will continue to do so.

I usually have very sensitive and dry skin and was not sure how this oil would work on my skin. After only 2 days of use, I could already see visible results. My skin looked a lot better and my pores were visibly smaller. I got a lot of compliments on how beautiful my skin looks since using this product. \r\nI wear sunscreen pretty much every day after the last step of my AM regime, which is the \r\nNatural Moisturizing Factors + HA, and I stopped using make up because my skin looks so great now! I am very happy with it and it is now part of my daily PM skin routine, although I would sometimes alternate between the mandelic acid 10% + HA, and the Retinol 0.2% in Squalane to conquer the start of lines and wrinkles.

I have integrated this product to my evening routine and started to notice subtle improvements. However I am wondering whether I am layering this in the right order as my skin seems to slightly flake off when I apply it (is it dissolving the previous layers of serums?!)\r\nI clean first with Squalane cleanser, then put a few drops of Hyaluronic Acid 2I + B5 and then I apply the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. I wait for a couple of minutes before I massage the Mandelic Acid 10% in my skin. I immédiately notice some texture breaking off but not sure if it's dead skin or layers of serum. I am really confused and wondering if I should not put this right after cleansing then? \r\nI usually end with Natural Moisturizing Factors + Ha or rosehip oil.\r\nThanks!

This is the best acid I ever used! After I put it once on my face I already saw a great result. My acne went less active, and my whole skin went from irritated, sort of dry to smoothe and more calm. Thereby, there was NO irritation as a side effect, which I did experience with salicylic acid. I only have one question: how much do you exactly have to put on your face?? I love this product, it is the only specialized skincare I use. I've been using it for about three months now (was swayed by the reviewer who said it was the only product that her atologist recommended). While I did not have any specific skincare issues to address, I have noticed a difference in my skin, especially my forehead. I am not prone to acne or breakouts, but did have a little bit of texture on my forehead, which honestly I never really noticed until it disappeared. I am in my mid forties and the sum total of my skincare routine is a cream cleanser, this Mandeic Acid, and a mineral sunscreen and my skin looks and feels better than it ever has before. I have stopped using a moisturizer and don't even wear foundation anymore, just a touch of concealer. I think my skin looks clear, radiant, and glowing. So very pleased with this product!

Recently purchased Mandelic Acid and using it already 2 weeks. Haven't seen the results unfortunately but small red bumps appeared all over my face and I do not know what I did wrong((( Is it supposed to be like that? I have heard friends rave about the Ordinary products, and wanted to give this a try as I have sensitive skin but wanted to treat some signs of ageing/old blemishes and attempt lightening. Not even after one week of use, I have noticed a significant difference! Especially on old blemish scars. The only area of uncertainty they have, on the instructions it mentions 'Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.' I'm uncertain how often I should be using this. Currently, I have this for about a month and use it every other night. Reading some of the other reviews and it appears some use this daily. I just want to clarify if I need to give my skin a break from this product every once in a while? I am otherwise really loving the results I have seen so far!

Love this stuff. I've used many types of acids from the ordinary and, even though this claims to be a gentler one, I actually peel from this acid for around 3 days. I personally prefer an acid that makes me peel because then I KNOW it's working and not just a placebo of me thinking it did. I personally can't use this acid everyday or even multiple times a week like it recommends because you should never put acid on already peeling skin. I'm not sure if I have a higher sensitivity to this acid because no one else said this acid makes them peel- but I really do love this stuff. I use it about once a week or once every other week. I have acne scarring that is already looking 10x better! Get this stuff and you won't regret it.

I bought this some time ago, but only got serious about using it regularly 2 month ago. I use it once a week and leave it on over night. It has made my skin look fresh and clear and people at work have asked if I have been on holiday :-) I don't have any specific skin issues, but it stopped my skin looking dull and lifeless. Now I am glowing and look healthy. Unfortunately my skin breaks out from HA, so I use it Sundays and the small amount of spots have cleared up by Tuesday. I use retinol the rest of the week and the combination makes my fine lines so much better, even the Marionette Lines are not as deep as they were before. I like the fact that this Acid is gentle and due to it's larger molecular size doesn't penetrate as deep as the others, for me that is perfect as I just needed to remove some of the top layer of skin.

Female: 39rs, combination, acne prone. European olive skin toneI rarely write reviews, but this product has really helped me. I am very prone to hormonal acne and hyper-pigmentation. One area that has been especially difficult to find a topical solution to is the acne and pigmentation on my back (As an organic chemist, trust me, I tried everything!). With this product, it has now been months without any new blemishes on my back and the pigmentation marks are slowly fading. I use it after taking a shower, I smooth a thin layer on my back (about 1 full dropper), and thats it. For my face, I use it one a week on friday PM. I use it alone, after cleansing. All other nights I use rentinol, niacinamide, marine HA. I am very grateful to the ordinary for making such effective and simple products, I can add exactly what my skin needs. I haven’t felt this good about my skin in years.

Stings a little but results are very good. I use this product once a week. I mix in with The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors Hydrator. I found that applying this product directly to the skin caused some irritation as I experienced a burning sensation immediately upon using Mandelic Acid for the first time. Due to the sensitivity of my skin I use Mandelic Acid 1x per week as the last step in my pm skin care routine mixing in a few drops with moisturizer. A little goes a very long way so feel free to use sparingly. I am always pleased with the results of the product. My skin is typically very clear and has a natural, radiant glow the next am. I recommend Mandelic Acid for those who want a natural glow. I believe this product also assists with Oil Control.. I plan to use with Vitamin C for intense hydration.

This product has completed changed things for me. I have dry skin that is very, very easy to irritate and turn red. Other types of exfoliation ended up with terrible reactions and irritation, and I was always left with dry flaky patches still left that made wearing any sort of makeup foundation impossible. I decided to try Mandelic Acid because I'd heard it was extremely gentle.I this is the first exfoliating product I've used that hasn't irritated my skin. I was actually shocked not only that I didn't react, but what a huge difference I saw after just one use. Not only are my dry patches gone, it made such a visible correction to some skin texture issues I thought were intractable that even my husband noticed, and he never notices subtle changes. Love this stuff! I have had no irritation with this serum, my skin is slowly getting more refined and it helps to keep the break outs at bay. I have dry skin but am still plagued with lots of congestion (blackheads and bump) as well as occasional pimples but this is clearing it up. I expect to see way more improvements in the coming weeks :). I love that this doesn’t dry out my skin, I was using another brands 10% Mandelic serum and found that I couldn’t use it every night because it dries out my skin terribly (probably because of the alcohol in their formula). I love this is also a third of the price of other ones I’ve used and seen. It also seems to soak into the skin pretty well and doesn’t leave any unwanted sensation (tackiness, stickiness etc). I will definitely continue to keep this in my routine.

I am used to much stronger acids and absolutely had no issues with them even when used on my face... 10% AHA, 4%BHA - you name it, I have it. So I was not expecting anything special from this and quite honestly I only ordered it because of pure curiosity since I heard so much about mandelic acid. \n And boy, this one delivers! Much more gentler but still effective. Since exfoliation does cause more sun sensitivity I appreciate that I can now use an exfoliant even during summer time without overdoing it (that happended sometimes while using AHA or BHA). And the value for money as always outstanding.\n I use it as a „stand alone“ product 2 up to 3 times a week sometimes added with a few drops of squalane after two or three hours - that works perfect for waking up with ultra smooth and better skin.
