Although I am older, I still struggle with some blemishes. Over Covid, I broke out really badly. This was highly recommended. Because I have dry skin, I only use this in places where I am prone to breakouts. And it works so well! I know that if I start to get something, it will go away quickly using this product. I use it every day along with their moisturizer, and this combination has kept my skin looking it’s best.

I began getting regular facials and seeing an esthetician 5 months ago. Her very first recommendation to me was to throw out the garbage I had been using and simply cleanse my face, use this product (Skinceuticals Blemish Age Defense) and moisturize at night (plus sun block in the morning). Since then, we've added a few other products to my routine but for the first 4 months of my acne treatment that's literally all I did: cleanse, this product, moisturize. I haven't had a single breakout on my forehead, nose, or cheeks since I started using this! Still occasional hormonal acne on my jawline but overall the results have been incredible! I love this product and have repurchased it over and over again now! It's pricey but spreads very well so a little goes a long way! I'd rather just use this and get results than spend less on tons of other products that weren't working for me, ya know?

It's very intensive but I'm not sure about its effect so I didn't purchase after I used up the sample.

I actually got my first bottle over a year ago but was only using it as a spot treatment when breakouts would occur. I thought it was meh and no better than any other product for my adult acne (I'm 45 and the fact that I'm still dealing with breakouts is super annoying). But then I read somewhere about using it as a serum in a thin layer all over my face so I started doing that about a month ago (which is why I finally had to buy a new bottle!). Just at night after I wash/tone and before using moisturizer. So far, so good! I use it nightly except two nights a week (Wed/Sat) when I use my SkinMedica retinol instead. My skin is behaving nicely...no major breakouts and no irritation. Fingers crossed that this is what I've been waiting for!!

I've used Blemish + Age for the last 10 years and it works great on zits. However, the last two times I've purchased it the black rubber or plastic dropper has disintegrated into the vial making the product unusable. More than half the product was remaining and besides from getting black sticky stuff all over my hands, the stopper was all over the glass tube and in the product itself so you can't even pour it out. The first time this happened, I thought it might have been from having traveled with it or that it was getting old but it happened again on a bottle I bought less than a year ago that I has always been d upright.

I received this product as a sample with an order I placed. I use several Skinceuticals products, that have not caused any bad reactions. However, after just one use (as directed) my skin is still suffering five days later. 12 hours after applying the product I began noticing redness and tiny bumps along my jaw line. 24 hours after use the skin on my cheeks, chin, upper lip, around my nose, and jaw line was extremely red, inflamed, hot to touch, and tiny pustules began forming. 48 hours after use these symptoms continue and my skin was covered in tiny pustules. Now going on day 5 my skin is still extremely irritated, peeling, red, itchy, and tight. I have combination skin, and wanted to try this product for some hormonal acne I have been dealing with. Needless to say, I’m glad I didn’t have to actually invest the money to find out how awful this product is.

Since hitting my 30's I've been experiencing minor bouts of acne. I thought once I exited the teen years the acne would go away. the current acne products are geared towards the teen set and can be harsh on older skin. When I first heard of this serum I jumped right on it. I'm already using the moisturizer (day/night for oily skin) and CF during the day. After the first night I noticed a immediate difference in my skin. The few zits that were sitting on my forehead were actually gone and my skin was soft to the touch. After week two I noticed that a pesky wrinkle line (also on the forehead) was very faint. Going on week three my skin just glows. Don't hesitate at all on this. It is worth the expense if you're looking for clear, flawless skin.

I never review skincare products before using for at least a few weeks but this product is different. My aesthetician gave me sample of this when i told her about my acne concerns on my cheeks (not cystic but pretty consistent breakouts). After using this product for one night, I saw visible improvement the next day. Two days later when the sample ran out I drove back and bought the full sized product because I didn't want to go one day without using it. I generally have dry skin and this did not dry out my skin (only dried out the blemishes) and I hydrated a lot afterwards with serums so it was fine. My acne has really cleared up with this and I will continue using it forever as it is one of the only things that has really worked fast for me. I have no idea how or if it helps with aging skin.

I very much endorse SkinCeuticals blemish + age defense for anyone that has persistent hormonal acne or scarring due to severe acne. I'm 25, didn't struggle with acne during puberty, but for the past few years have only tended to break out around my menstrual cycle; for an entire week each month, I would get painful and deeply rooted blemishes that would take days to surface and then be healed. This is the only thing that has reduced them significantly — almost nonexistent. (I get maybe one blemish a month that isn't too much of an issue.) I'm very careful about my skincare routine and use this every morning and night after a cleanser or toner. I've been using this for about three months with consistent results. Also, I never write review of products but did so this time. Be sure to get this if you're looking for blemish relief!!

i am 52, in the throes of premenopause and my always great skin developed microcystic acne. itching, tiny pimples that would not pop along my jawline and cheeks.
