The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion 30ml

I started using it and I like it, but I don't know if I can use this emulsion all around eyes? Please answer me

This was my first experience with retinoids. Absolute great. Not very strong but good to start with. Doesnt give dry patches and absorbs fast. Smells ok, not disturbing. Dousnt make marks on clothing and can be worn under make up but i prefer to use it before bed. One day i use tris retinoid , next day retinal 0.2 and on day 3rd peptides. Very nice product

I have been using this product for years. I usually purchase a couple bottles at a time. I recently bought this product and as seen on several other review pictures it was separated (clear liquid on the bottom and cream on top). In all my years I have never seen this before. I did shake the bottle before use but the serum was watery. The quality of the product was not the same, for a person who have been using this for years I am so disapponted they would change the formula or cut quality. This product use to be thick and creamy not the watery consistency it feels like now. Very, very disappointed. The original founder never wanted to compromise the quality of his products, he said this many times in several videos. STOP cutting corners and product quality.

started looking after my skin beyond cleanse-exf-moisturise late last year. been trying to work out what works and what doesn't. \r\n\r\nadded granactive retinoid 2% emulsion to my regime about 6 weeks ago. i feel like it's already fast tracked taking back the hyperpigmentation from sun that i've been fighting with alpha-arbutin. also feel like my skin is glowy? i feel a bit wanky talking like this but yea i like this stuff. hoping that with time it will help with the fine lines. \r\n\r\nalso my skin is super sensitive and prone to redness if it doesn't like the way you looked at it but this stuff has not made it bark. \r\n\r\ncame here basically to add to the people begging for a 5% granactive retinoid emulsion!! please!!

Fantastic product! I really love the formulation, easy to apply and hasn't caused any irritation since day 1. I pair it with Vit C in the morning and I've seen immediate results

For the last two years, I have used this retinoid 4-5x a week and daily SPF and moisturiser. My family are quite pale so obviously we don't age that well. A bottle lasts me between 6-7 months.\r\n\r\nAnyway, this is me at 31 years old. I wouldn't say it has reversed ageing, but i look exactly the same as I did prior to this routine - so at the very least it has stalled aging for two years! \r\n\r\nAdditionally, it has definitely given me a glow - and I have not had a break out for as long as I remember. I love this company and highly recommend.

I have very sensitive dry skin that was starting to get fine lines. My skin conscious son left this product in his bathroom - along with a ton of other Ordinary bottles - when he moved away to attend university in another country. I began to try them and fell in love with this one. My more expensive creams and gels sit unused!! I have discovered that I should use it in the am after cleansing, in combination with a super moisturizer at night. For that, I alternate plain vaseline with their HA B oil. The change in fine wrinkles, smoothness, and hydration is just unbelievable. Highly recommend.

I am very new to retinol/retinoids and I was very apprehensive about trying it because I have sensitive skin that almost always breaks out or does not respond well to many skincare products. I thought this would be harsh and strip and thin my skin, but it hasn’t. My skin loves the feel of the creamy formula, it feels so hydrating. I’m already seeing my skin look healthier after using it for a few days. I think if you are a new retinol user like myself or have sensitive, hormonal acne prone skin, this might be the best Retinoid product to start with. I'm a fan of retinols and retinoids. I tried Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane, but I was bothered by the overly oily consistency. I'm not comfortable with it. This special emulsion version is excellent. It has a light and pleasant scent and absorbs into my skin very quickly. I use it every other night before I go to bed and my skin feels really beautifully hydrated and smooth. It works very well on fine lines but you have to be very patient and consistent. I noticed the first visible results after about a month, maybe a month and a half. I highly recommend introducing this serum into your regular routine.

I have no problems with product. I haven’t been using it long enough to know if it will work for me. But why does such an awesome company like the Ordinary which goes out of its way to be so informative and transparent bury an important fact about this product. It has to be refrigerated. This is buried in small type at the bottom of the directions. Why not put this in a more apparent place on the package???? People looking to reduce wrinkles often are the same people who have trouble reading small type. Just sayin’.

I bought this preventatively for fine lines I was starting to see on my forehead, in between eyebrows, and smile lines. This product has a nice, almost cinnamon-like smell that I really love! The milky texture goes on smoothly and moisturizes my combo skin really well. I've been using it for some weeks now and haven't noticed a difference in the fine lines, but my face skin is nice and soft. Also you can't beat the price point on this!\r\n\r\nAlso wanted to note that for the past few years I'd been using a night cream that contained retinol in it, so I didn't have any reaction to this product other than some mild tingling when I first put it on.

I decided to give this a try after trying the weakest squalane based retinoid in the portfolio and my skin did not like it - it did nothing but give me small zits and sit on my skin in an oily sheen. I have tried other squalne based products from the ordinary and my skin did the same thing.\r\n\r\nIn contrast this formulation sinks nicely into my skin really well and I have had far fewer breakouts and better healing after acne breakouts while using it. I had very little irritation when I started using it and was able to increase the frequency without any peeling dryness or sensitivity.\r\n\r\nTo the marketing team and the people in the lab - if you're looking to make a new product, please PLEASE make a stronger percentage of this formulation, its fantastic for oily skin that can't handle oily products.

I've got very fair skin, and had been afraid to try retinols after hearing horror stories about how harsh it can be. I finally gave this one a try about a year ago, I'm late 30s and starting to see loss of plumpness and some fine lines on my forehead. This stuff works wonders on both! I love how they have made a creamy emulsion out of it, it's very moisturizing. On nights that I use it, I don't use anything else, just this and I massage it in well. \r\n\r\nI feel like my skin is noticably more youthful since I've started using this. I use other ordinary products too, and this is definitely one of my favorites. Does not irritate my skin at all, and I use a pretty thick layer of it. I keep it in the fridge as recommended and use once or twice a week at night.

I have had a horizontal line in the middle of my forehead since I was 16. (I'm 24 now) It's just the way my forehead works I guess, and then bad acne made it even worse, really pitted and craggy. I've always absolutely hated it and tried to cover it up with bangs. I bought this product in the hopes that it would help some and omg it did!! I say I had hoped, but I hadn't really believed it would make any difference. I'd had this line for 8 years. But four months into using it I realized it had gotten so much better! And that's even with me being lazy and forgetting to use it some nights lol. I'm so so happy! The line will never go away completely, I know the pits the acne left will always be there but the overall line is decreased and finer. I can wear my bangs brushed back now!! I don't have to prematurely age, you don't know how happy I am ahaha

I have long steered away from traditional retinols - the flaking, peeling and tightness were unbearable. But, having had so much success with other TO products, which have given me the best skin of my life (as in: my skin GLOWS) , I decided to give this a try. \r\n\r\nAfter just three applications, I received comments on how amazing my skin looked. My skin is smoother, more radiant, even more even-toned than with the other TO treatments and just generally looks plumped up. No irritation, no dryness, no flaking.\r\n\r\nEnough said. Just buy it.\r\n\r\n(For context, I use this about twice a week, the peeling solution about twice a week, and the other nights, I use the lactic acid with the vitamin C powder mixed in. Following treatments at night, I apply the Natural Moisturizing factors and seal with a couple drops of B oil. TO SPF 30 every day. I have brown skin that is not sensitive.)

I have been using this product for approximately 3 months with fantastic results - definitely a game changer! I’m 40 and have acne prone, dry, ageing skin. My acne has improved drastically and my skin texture is much smoother and more even. I also have some dark spots from old acne scars that are now noticeably lighter. I really like this product, I used it for a year and now I've been trying the new Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalene, but the problem is I'm not sure how to incorporate either of them in my routine... \n I also use Resveratrol + Ferulic Acid, mixed with 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder, and from time to time Alpha Lipoic Acid. Up until now I've been doing retinoid resveratrol + vit c ALA, since they're all emulsion/anhydrous solutions, I'm not sure that it's the right order... \n Hopefully I can get some help! \n\n p.s.: I love your products, please for the love of everything, never discontinue them! I bought my first bottle of this a good while ago, and just loved it, loved the emulsion texture and I had no irritation and was really seeing results. When it came time to reorder I made a mistake and ordered the wrong product, I bought the Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalene. When I received it, I was bummed over my mistake but figured I would try it. Really wasn't for me. I don't like the texture and I swear it wasn't giving me the same results. No irritation at the higher %. I kept using it for a good 2 months, then I accidentally broke the bottle when traveling. There was still half left. Oh well, I came back and ordered this one instead. It works better for me. Like many others in the reviews, I wish you offered this at the same 5% strength. PLEASE?

I’m 24 and have struggled with acne forever, this product has seriously made one of the biggest differences in my skin!!! But it definitely takes PATIENCE. The “purging” period can be expected with any retinoid and it is VERY discouraging for a while. However, it was interesting that the increased breakouts only occurred where I normally break out (e.g. I never break out on my forehead, and so no purging occurred on my forehead). So, I knew it wasn’t causing *new* breakouts, it was just forcing existing ones to the surface. I’ve now been using the Granactive Retinoid for about three months (and still have like 75% of the bottle left) and I’ve had no major breakouts! Any cloggage I do get is tiny and surfaces immediately, so no more painful zits or cystic pimples!! Seriously so impressed!!!

You KNOW it's good when you're boyfriend takes notice and says how clear your skin has been looking. LOVE this stuff and pretty much everything else from the ordinary and I have pretty sensitive skin. I do what they suggest with this product and the alpha lipolic acid and mix it with a coconut water lotion (very mild and non active). \n I was curious, I accidentally left the cap on but not screwed down for about 12 hours (scatterbrain!!) but was wondering how much damage I did to the integrity of the product. Please help! \n Should I just buy new ALA and Retinol emulsion or is this probably still pretty active? \n I just don't want to think I'm doing good by my skin but just putting ineffective product on it. \n Any information or research on this?

I am 45 yo and realized I need to add more anti-aging skin care into my daily regimen. I started with a retinol oil and quickly realized I wanted/needed more. I purchased this as a way to ease into retinols without the irritation. I am using this nightly and loving it! I have had zero irritation or dryness (even though I have naturally dry skin) and was able to use it nightly right away. I have been using this with a light acid toner with no problem (I try to wait 30-45 min between application of toner and this serum). I have noticed an improvement in my texture, tone and fine lines/wrinkles. I do not have acne, but have not had a single pimple since I started using this 1 month ago. This will be an absolute repurchase and I am so happy I found this product.
