Skin type: Aging, combination/normal.\n\nLove it. Big difference when I put it on and use it nightly vs when I don’t. When I don’t use it, my skin feels bumpy and rough. When I do, my face feels baby soft in the morning. For me the moisturizing effects are what I notice most. It seeps into my skin easily and has never caused a breakout. \n\nI used another botanical brand’s (TH) face oil which included Rose Hip Seed oil as an ingredient. Liked it a lot but expensive so gave this a try and never looked back.

I've been using this product for two years now, along with Hyaluronic Acid 2% +B5, Retinol 1% in Squalane, and the Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG. I am 65 years old going to be 66 soon. My face has changed so much that people who see me now don't recognize me. People who meet me for the first time think I am 45 years old. My 42-year-old daughter asked me what I did. Now she is buying these products. I thought people were joking with me when they thought my daughter was my sister! The first photo is me two years ago and the second one is now. I have also lost 35lbs over this time span.

I only bought this because it was on sale and it says it pairs ok with glycolic acid. I was quite surprised that it worked so well!! My skin is so dry and using this before my moisturizer was a game changer. It sealed all the moisture and helped with exfoliation. I noticed my skin getting brighter and i thought i was going to have breakouts because its “oil” but 3 or 4 drops dorsnt feel greasy or sticky at all. It also goes along way. Since i have dry skin i also use this during daytime if i dont wear makeup. I wait a bit before putting on my sunscreen, it gets absorbed pretty well.

If your doubting buying this, here’s your sign to buy this. I have extremely sensitive and dry skin so I was super hesitant to purchase this. But when I tell you this makes my face glow. I mean it. I have hyperpigmentation around my mouth and just general discolouration all over my face. You could definitely see a difference and it’s only been a week. I swear if it continuous like this I’ll have glass skin by 2021. It has such great benefits (google them) you’ll be surprised it’s like a 10 in 1 oil lol. I recommend this to ppl who have dry or sensitive skin & of your a poc dw this product is legit gonna be your holy grail lol.

I wanted to love this so bad. I have re-introduced it to my skin care routine so many times but each time I have severely broken out and I have finally determined that the rose hip oil is the cost. If you’re going to buy anything from The Ordinary, buy this oil. I have fairly normal leaning towards oily skin and use this oil nightly to finish my skin care routine (layering lactic acid and hyaluronic acid underneath). It keeps all that wonderful moisture in and provides awesome ingredients like Vit. A, which had anti-aging benefits. It doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin, although it’s definitely present when I touch my face. That doesn’t bother me since I wear it at night and wash off the excess in the morning. It hasn’t made my skin any oilier or caused me to breakout whatsoever, and is my ride or die ingredient in the dry winter. Cannot stop raving about this product!

I have this oil for a bit too long :) it turned to a jelly in the pipette. But from all oils I used, this is the best. It has a Vit A, so it is antiageing. I used to use it at night, but now I put it also at daytime, after moisturiser and before SPF cream. The oil makes the skin beautifully glowing from within. I find that this oil is more moisturising than the argan, jojoba or olive oil, so for me the rosehip oil is the best at the winter time. But otherwise I recommend to try those other oils, too. Each is excellent on its own for the dry skin. The fun part is that these oils don't transfer and soak in very naturally.

I’m 44 years old and have relatively good skin. I also have multiple autoimmune which causes my skin to feel dry and tight at times. I was sick of buying expensive serums and using coconut oil or olive oil on my face (which didn’t absorb and left me greasy) \r\n\r\nThis rose hip oil is a good alternative to the expensive stuff. It absorbs well and perks up my dull skin because it’s soaked up the oil. \r\n\r\nIt does smell like vitamin though so I’m not sure if this serum is mixed with it or not. But regardless this is my go to night serum and I can even wear it under my makeup during winter too. Just use less!

I purchased this product a little bit more than a week ago, and I'm already seeing the benefits of adding this oil into my PM routine. My method of application is mixing in about 3 drops of the oil into my regular moisturizer. I've done this every night since the oil arrived, and holy smokes! I woke up today to wash my face and my skin felt silky smooth. I can't remember the last time my skin felt this soft to the touch. My skin still has some bumps and whatnot, but in places where acne scars are, the dryness and crustiness is completely gone. Overall, my skin feels very hydrated and healthy. I didn't expect this product to work so well so quickly! I'm truly amazed. This roseship seed oil is definitely staying in my routine! I love it it!!! <3

I have been using morning and night and the Lactic Acid only at night for about two weeks and my skin as transformed!\r\n\r\nThis oil is light enough to wear under my make up and has completely replaced my moisturizer.

It's a lovely oil but goes rancid extremely quickly. I know these oils are highly volatile but it might be better if it came in a smaller quantity or in a pump-style bottle that restricts oxygen exposure. The packaging indicates it should last about six months after being opened, however I have had three bottles go rancid after two or three months. It just isn't stable enough to use the entire bottle. Rose Hip Seed Oil that does not have a scent is refined and offers reduced benefits.

This product has been amazing for my Acne prone skin. It tones down redness and generally improves the look of my skin. I highly recommend! The only issue I've had is after about 1-2 months, it starts smelling sour and rancid. I never get more than halfway through a bottle before I have to toss it. I understand cold-pressed oils are more fragile and also have more benefits, but I've purchased at least 5 bottles of this stuff and each one does the same thing. Luckily it's very affordable! i bought this oil just a few days ago and have been using it for 3 days now, but i am in LOVE. my skin type is combination but it is very dry that sometimes peel off on my cheeks, and very oily on my nose that is shines. my skin is really sensitive and would react to any product i apply, but it didnt react to this one at all. the product is really oily (it's an oil duhh) but wont feel sticky or anything. apply it on your night-time routine, once a day. it doesnt smell that bad, come on people. to me yes it has a smell, but i dont find it fishy. it is weird. but to me it smells like cucumber. i bought this for the fatty acid content, to help with dryness and blemishes on my face. my skin already looks brighter and i'm looking forward for my acne scars to go. i recommend it to everyone, this is just miraculous!

So, this review includes multiple products. My morning rountine over the past 2-3 years includes cleansing (another brand or my own cleanser) followed by two drops of the Buffet (one each cheek), then three drops of The Ordinary's 100% Plant-Derived Squalane. One on each cheek and one on my forehead. I follow up with a moisturizer, either 100% Cold-Pressed Virgin Marula Oil, another brand or my own (I use The Ordinary's 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil in it). I tried the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA but I wasn't feeling it. As needed, I use Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG as my eye cream/moisturizer and sometimes on the smile lines around my mouth area.\n\n The Rose Hip Seed Oil's affects are my skin were immediate and I really enjoy using it. I highly recommend it!

I wanted to love this oil, knowing it's unrefined and has the potential to smell. Well, I used it on my face and I had one breakout after the first night, so I stopped that. Decided to use it on my legs and arms after a shower but honestly I could not stand the smell. It has a distinct omega 3 strong smell which I now know I dislike. In a last ditch effort to use the contents, I tried adding a few drops of my favorite essential oils to it and it worked to mask the smell...at first. Since I put this on after a shower and go to bed, I find that when I wake up, the essential oil smell has disappeared and I'm left with the smell of this oil. After using it before bedtime I find the odor has transfered to my sheets. Long story short: I threw the bottle away.

The oil just solves my dry and a bit sagging skin right away. I've been using this product for over a year and i can't even remember how bad my skin felt before i started using this. Just one thing that i'm wondering, is it possible for me to send back the containers of the used products to the company or what should i do with them? This oil is pure magic!The first time I used I felt like it took away 10 years from my face! I was so amazed with the results I woke up my husband in the middle of the night to show him how amazing my face was looking.Really, it was the very best oil I've ever used.I read some reviews complaining about some fishy smell, and giving 1 star even though they didn't really use the oil. Well, this oil don't smell like roses if it was what people was expecting. It doesn't smell like rotten fish or even fresh fish at all. It smells like... oil. Nothing more, nothing less.And it's a very faint scent that doesn't bother at all, unless you're specially sensitive to any odor.Totally recomended. I started using this oil in mid-threequarters way through January. I love it. I've had no problems with it. I use it every single night. It has an earthy smell, sometimes it reminds me of a skunk or mj, but either the scent fades or I get used to it. It doesn't bother me, it isn't very strong. I love everything this company has done and is doing. The simple approach, natural ingredients, no bs, more affordable prices. I know it can be overwhelming because they have a lot to offer, but the whole market is so oversaturated that it gets overwhelming. If you're going through multiple brands and nothing is working, then how is going through multiple products until you find your perfect routine through 1 company any different? R.I.P. I bought this because of many rave reviews. i found it did moisturize my skin but it felt quite thick on my face. I tend to have to dab my face with some cotton to absorb it has it would take a long time to absorb. I tried using smaller amount on my face but then it wasn't enough. I didn't like how I could not go to bed right away until it absorbed. And mixing it with my night cream made it too thick. I would use it on my cuticles or dry patches on my body but not my face. i mean, i don’t even know what to say. i don’t get how this does the amazing things it does for my dehydrated, oily, large-pored, textured acne prone skin, but it does them. this is the least pore-clogging & most acne-safe moisturizing product i’ve ever used. it also noticeably brightens skin overnight. i would say it’s not the most moisturizing oil and works best for me if i use it at night and use a more hydrating daytime product with water/glycerin. a couple times when i used this back to back day and night for a couple days, my skin didn’t seem to love it/lacked plumpness, but i would still say overall my favorite skin care product of all time. great healer for popped pimples as well - won’t reclog the pore and greatly reduces redness in one night. works better than even pimple patches!

I really like this product and have definitely noticed results (smoother, more hydrated skin) since I started using it about a week ago. I use it during my night routine before or mixed in with my moisturizer. If my skin is still feeling dry in the morning, I will also use it then. The great thing about this oil is that though it may seem a little oily during the first 5-10 mins you put it on, it settles very nicely and absorbs right in to the skin quickly after that. I have normal to combination skin, with some areas of my face being oily and this product has not irritated or made my skin any more oily, it has simply hydrated it and make it look smoother and healthier!
