SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF with Ferulic Acid 30ml

I had used this product previously with amazing results. Left it for a while and went back and my face immediately started getting red and stinging. I then had swelling for a week. What happened here? Were ingredients changed or added? So disappointed that this new formula has given so many people bad allergic reactions as I’ve read here. Something has changed.

Only vitamin c product I’ve found that doesn’t cause breakouts. Makes my skin clearer and brighter. Only rating it four stars because it’s so expensive.

This is the best product I have ever used on my face. I have never used a serum that has worked as effectively as this. I am a customer for life now (ordering my second bottle now). In just 3 weeks I began to see results, by week 6 it's unquestionably due to this product. For background, I have a very minimal skin care routine. I use a Cureology custom facewash in the morning (which I have since stopped because I cannot afford both products) and I use CerVe at night. I use Clean Skin Club towels morning and night, that's it and this Skinceuticals serum first thing after I wash my face in the morning. I am 34 years old and my skin has never been more clear. The occasional discoloration is gone!

Light and leaves your skin glowing. This is one my my favorite vitamin c serums of all time. If you have not tried it you should! The it’s light in the skin and doesn’t really have a smell at all which I love.

This serum works miraculously to wipe away the discoloration on skin and brightens my face. I have been using it religiously for more than 5 years every morning.

This product seems to be living up to its reputation. I am using it daily. It will take time to see results, but my skin is appearing clear. I'm hopeful.

This is probably the most I've ever spent on a single skincare item, but I have no regrets. I originally had a sample of this and was actually able to see results by the time I was done with the sample! That sold me. This has great ingredients in it and my skin tone is more even and healthy looking.

What a fantastic product. My skin looks glowing and the fine lines have reduced.

I like that it is not too strong for my skin and it helps with preventing discoloration.

I have both the phloretin CF and the CE ferulic and prefer the phloretin. I have few blemished but lots of freckles and am trying to slow the aging process. Both work great but the phloretin is better for lightening/brightening in my experience and it smells good, almost a coffee-like smell. I still use the CE ferulic on my neck and chest - and that combo is perfect for me.

Has the formula changed? Mine is dark, dark brown and the photos indicate it should be milky white. I’m scared to use it..

I wanted to like this product SO badly because of all the rave reviews, but it just did not work with my skin type!! I have very dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin and I'm very careful with trying new products. Initially when I tried this serum it gave me several fluid-filled bumps on my face - not quite pimples but possibly some sort of allergic reaction. They went away a few days after I stopped using it. When I re-tried several months later I didn't have as severe of a reaction, but I did still get that same type of breakout on my forehead and cheeks. Overall this product did not work well with me. It also felt sticky on my skin, and looked oily/greasy under makeup so I was only really able to wear it at night. If there is any way for you to try it in a sample size or borrow from a friend before making the purchase, I'd definitely recommend a trial run beforehand!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would. This is the 3rd time I've purchased this product. It's pricey, but COMPLETELY worth it. Each bottle can last me between 3-5 months... but again, TOTALLY WORTH IT! My skin has always been pretty clear from acne but one day I had a horrible breakout throughout my cheeks. I started seeing a atologist and she recommended I use this product. Within a couple weeks I saw a drastic change in my skin. It got rid of my acne scars and hyperpigmentation. My mom even started purchasing this product for herself because she saw how much of a change it made in my skin. Not only that, but i constantly get compliments on my skin and people asking what i use because it's so clear. I can honestly keep writing on how much I love this serum but I'll stop here. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it's expensive.... that's literally it.

Began using 2/3 months ago (still have plenty left) it's subtle, but I am think this has really helped my overall skin tone & texture!! I bought this to treat my redness and discoloration. Seems to help with anti-aging as well! Took awhile to get used to using: after shower or face wash, my esthetician recommends using 4 drops on face, a drop on neck, a drop on decollate and drops on front of hands. She also advised once you put this on your skin, it stays in your system: so if you take it off by washing your face early in day or put on late in day, doesn't matter: you will get the full effect. I may try more popular Skinceuticals CE Ferulic next round for comparison, nonetheless think I'm hooked on this expensive, effective product. One bottle lasts a long time! I keep bottle in my fridge, upon another user recommendation!

This serum is jam packed with everything from vitamin C, anti-aging, antioxidants, environmental protection and it diminishes the appearance of fine lines and discoloration!\n\nHello yes please sign me up! \n\nNow this product is most definitely an investment, however it is worth every penny.\nIt lasts for a long time, I am only three quarters into the bottle and I use it daily as part of my morning routine. This was purchased 6 months ago, so this bottle will last me well over a year.\n\nI absolutely love this serum, it is a tad tacky when first applied, I layer drops on cheeks, forehead and yes neck very important to protect the décollete after it fully absorbs which happens within seconds so move fast with this product and I let it set for a couple minutes before moving to sunscreen.\n\nThis is a MUST to my skincare routine, I look forward to applying this every morning.

I have been using this serum for 2.5 years, and have ordered from the throughout this time. The Phlorectin formula was more suitable for me compared to the Ferulic. Summer of 2016, I went to a Day Spa, and purchased the SkinMedica cream without retinol for hyper pigmentation. I ended up with more pigmentation. I purchased the Phlorectin, and in 1 month began to see improvement. My skin has been fabulous ever since. I also use the hydrating B5 gel after applying the Phlorectin only at night. I am 41-years-old, and my skin looks amazing due to the quality of skinceuticals products. I have previously used products by La Mer, and Lancer, and feel skinceuticals gives the best result, and at a more affordable price. Our skin is so diverse, so this is my constructive review. I hope you get the same results, as I did.

I started using the serum 4 weeks ago and since them the transformation of my skin has been incredible.\nThis is very powerful serum when it comes to results and if you used it instructed the results are definitely visible. although the bottle size is 15ml this is for sure enough to be used for around 5 weeks.\nLove the watery texture that allows a faster absorption and a very small amount of serum to be use on each application. The scent it is strong and acidic due to the complexity of ingredients, but after application this will fade way. I do apply moisturiser over this to allow the serum to perform better.\n\nIt is amazing how my skin looks after 4 weeks, much brighter, smoother and a much even toned appearance. It definitely a must have serum for my aging skin type that has lots of fine lines, dark spots and loss of firmness.

I have loved and used this product for 4 years. It’s expensive but absolutely worth it. For anyone using the Yuka app, it also scores almost perfectly for being non toxic. That said, I unfortunately noticed recently that the formula changed. At first I thought I had received the incorrectly labeled product, but after ordering a second, it’s the same thing. Even my sample is the old product, so I’ve been able to better compare. I noticed some other reviews also calling this out. The new version appears more clear and more watery than the original. I know this product changes color over time, but the consistency, scent and color are all different now. I’m hoping this isn’t a sacrifice in quality, and I’m disappointed to have to test out a new product after having it be what I thought to be a permanent part of my morning routine. I warn anyone making this purchase.

I am currently on my 3rd bottle of Phloretin CF. I love this vitamin C because it is ultra lightweight and soaks right into my skin like water, without any film or greasiness. I struggle with redness and discoloration and this definitely help to even that out while also brightening my skin. I get constant compliments on my skin and complexion ever since I have switched to a mostly SkinCeuticals routine. I have also tried multiple bottles of the CE Ferulic and I personally prefer the Phloretin CF because I find the CE Ferulic to have a heavier/greasier feel on my skin and I didn’t feel that it did as much for my discoloration/uneven tone. I have tried just about every Vitamin C serum on the market, that I know of, and this is my go to. I fully believe in the efficacy of this product and SkinCeuticals as a whole!

I never had any kind of skin allergy to any skin product available on the market. But this is the first product that made my face develop red rashes, tiny bumps all over my face like chicken skin. I couldn't step out without a face mask. Everything was fine for the first 5 days but things started going downhill from day 6 and on day 8 I decided to stop using the product and address my damaged skin barrier. Once I stopped using the serum for 10 days, my face returned to its normal. So I decided to give it another try before I finally discard this expensive product and to my bad luck the skin rashes came back.\r\n\r\nThis is the first time I started using vitamin C serum and decided to go with the scientifically backed product. I badly wanted this product to work for me but it didn't. Feel very sad about it and the worst part is mine is normal skin not even sensitive skin.

I use this in combination with a BHA toner + the results have been magic! I have been really struggling with breakouts + acne scarring over the past few years and have tried numerous dark spot correctors. While getting a facial my girl recommended this for my skin. She sent me home with 2 samples so I was able to use it for about about a month. I was super skeptical, but this ended up being absolutely worth the price when I started to see a difference. The first 2-3 months I used it twice a day (AM/PM) and my acne scarring completely faded. Now on my second bottle I just use once a day in the evenings to maintain. If I'm breaking out or feeling like my skin just isnt looking great, I up it back to twice a day for about a week or so. This has been a complete game changer for my skin + I finally feel confident leaving the house with just a tinted moisturizer on.

I’ve used this every morning for nearly 7 months now, and the bottle still isn’t empty! The price point is insane, but I’m always willing to splurge on medical-grade skincare products. I will say, I’ve noticed my acne scars have faded over time and any active acne I have doesn’t seem to leave any red or dark marks on my face, even if I touch/pick at them (although I shouldn’t be). The smell is not great, but I’ve grown accustom to it. Overall, I feel the product has helped with my general complexion issues, but it’s nothing outstanding for the $120+ price point. When my bottle runs out I plan to stop using it/replace with a cheaper alternative and see if I notice a difference or miss the product. I feel like I won’t necessarily, but only time will tell.
