The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA Serum (Buffet) 60ml

I really love this serum. It is a tad bit sticky, but it absorbs fine and I apply my HA moisturizer after.

I just finished my first bottle, and I can’t even express how incredible this serum is. My skin is glowing! It is fragrance free and tolerable to my reactive skin that doesn’t handle retinoids well. I use it in the morning after washing along with the barrier support serum and the moisturizer with beta glucan. Goes well under my tinted sunscreen and any makeup I may wear that day.

I am Japanese. I have been living in Canada for about two years. The difference between Japan and Canada is humidity. Canada is very dry, so Japanese people feel that they need to be careful when moisturizing. This is my third purchase of Multi-Peptide + HA Serum. After I finished the second bottle, I didn't buy it for a while and used other skin care products, but my skin started to dry out and become rough, so I bought it again. After using it for a few days, my skin gradually calmed down, so I was convinced that this was something I really needed. The second photo shows the part of my skin that was dry but calmed down.

I have been using Buffet for three months now and I am still excited about it! I have noticed an extraordinary improvement in my skin's appearance and so have others - I have gotten compliments from family, friends, and strangers since I've been using this. Using this in conjunction with the ordinary's niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and hyaluronic acid 2 + b5 has given me a flawless complexion with minimal pores, reduced fine lines, and a youthful glow. Using this product after I use my .25 mm a roller really helps it sink in and work its magic. I literally have not used foundation or concealer for five weeks because I am feeling so confident in my skin!

I really love this stuff. I always feel that tiny little tingle after I put it on. Just enough to know it's working. I'm 43 and I my skin looks so much better. It gets very dry and I feel like it increases aging but now I feel like I'm glowing.

I’ve been using your products for four years. I’ll be 67 at Christmas and my skin looks great, very few lines, healthy and bright. I use a combination of products, Multi-Peptide + HA Serum, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Argireline Solution 10% plus a moisturizer.

I bought this 7 months ago and put it on my bathroom counter and started using it two months ago, not thinking it would do anything actually... well last week I noticed that when I woke up in the morning, washed my face, let it dry (not too dry), and put it on (my bathroom mirror is very well lit) - I looked in my mirror and noticed how BRIGHT MY SKIN WAS!!!! I’ve been using this serum for many many years and I told so many people about this brand and how much I loved it. But now it’s become so mainstream and prices have soared on this product and others on their line.\r\n I’m actually thinking about switching now if prices don’t come back down.

I have combination skin prone to acne, but the first signs of aging also started to appear: around the eyes and on the forehead. I use this product three times a week in the evening and top it off with my 1% retinol (not from the ordinary). why is it so rare? on other days I use another component that cannot be combined with peptides. This serum works great with retinol. I have been using it since November 2020, it is now the end of February 2021 and my wrinkles around my eyes have almost disappeared. My forehead wrinkle has become smaller and no longer striking. I really like this product, it absorbs well and works great. I will definitely buy it again, but in a larger volume.

I bought this product when it was called 'The Buffet' and I was very happy with it. It gave a good amount of hydration. This new product makes my face sticky and dehydrated. However, if I combine it with anything else, it flakes off etc. I wouldn't recommend buying it. Very disappointing.

I have been using this product for 1 year now. I use it on my neck and chest for the fine lines and dryness. I also use it around my lips for those fine lines too. It is hydrating and seems to plump these areas up eliminating the fine lines for me. No breakouts. The serum is absorbed quickly. Love it.

I had been using the original Buffet serum for over 2 years and it was working great with my skin. I was confused when I went to order again a couple of months ago, but found that the name had changed and didn't think much of it. As soon as it arrived I used it as I had previously, once a day, and within a week I had the worst breakout/skin irritation I've ever experienced. It took me a whole month to figure out that the formula of this product had changed and the time I started using it lined up with exactly when my my skin started to experience extreme redness and irritation. As soon as I stopped using the product, my skin started to clear and heal from what felt almost like a chemical burn in places, and after three days without use is finally on the mend. I am disappointed and frustrated that a product I used for so long is now completely unusable.

I love Buffet. My skin has always been prone to dryness and it now feels hydrated, I don’t even need a moisturizer, and I look forward to putting it on. I may try out matryxl because I feel weird ever since I learned about the arguiline in buffet acting to suppress muscle contractions…if it didn’t contain that ingredient I wouldn’t consider switching. It really works for me. Side note to Deciem - please amp up your sustainability more!!! I know you are trying but carbon neutral is the only way for there to be a future. I love love all your products but I keep asking myself if I should switch brands for this reason. I know you guys can do more, and I’d pay more for these products if it meant getting you closer to sustainable beauty. We don’t really need all the little boxes of packaging etc.

So, this review includes multiple products. My morning rountine over the past 2-3 years includes cleansing (another brand or my own cleanser) followed by two drops of the Buffet (one each cheek), then three drops of The Ordinary's 100% Plant-Derived Squalane. One on each cheek and one on my forehead. I follow up with a moisturizer, either 100% Cold-Pressed Virgin Marula Oil, another brand or my own (I use The Ordinary's 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil in it). I tried the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA but I wasn't feeling it. As needed, I use Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG as my eye cream/moisturizer and sometimes on the smile lines around my mouth area.\n\n The Buffet's affects are my skin were immediate and I really enjoy using it. I highly recommend it!

First off - I LOVE how plump this makes my face feel. Physically feel a difference after only a few uses! Love it so far. Question for the Ordinary team - I have a Mad Hippie Vitamin A serum that I'd like to reintroduce to my regimen. Can I use this and Buffet together? I'm loving this product so much! I've been using it morning and night, for about two months, and I am definitely repurchasing. I don't know if it's helped my skin visibly, as I started using acids and retinol about a few weeks after I started using the Buffet (all from The Ordinary line). However, I love how good my skin feels since I started using this. It feels so hydrated, smooth, and just overall, nice. It wears well under makeup too, but I do like to let it absorb for a minute before putting on my next layer. I find that it does leave a slight tackiness to my skin, but that goes away quickly, so long as I don't use too much. So, to sum it up, it's great, and affordable, and did I mention that it's great?

I've been using Buffet for a couple months now. I love the gel-like consistency and how it easily spreads so you never have to use too much! I apply this at PM. After about 30 seconds it absorbs into the skin and I can proceed with the rest of my nighttime regimen. I have oily skin with minimal blemishes, but also really great genes! I haven't noticed any anti-aging changes, but that isn't really why I purchased it so I wasn't looking for those changes either. I have doubted to buy Buffet due to sodium chloride which is proven to clog pores. I have oily skin with enlarged pores which is dehydrated at the same time therefore I have to choose the products very carefully. I decided to give it a try after reading some reviews and trusted that the amount of sodium chloride is very small and won't clog my pores. But after the week of use I noticed it got me to breakout more so had to discontinue. Disappointed but still happy that The Ordinary and other Deciem brands have other products that do not have pore clogging ingredients. DECIEM Response: Hi Justina! Thank you for sharing! I've been using this for about 3 weeks in combination with 100% Rose Hip Seed Oil and I feel my skin is plumper, firmer and just has a nice, fresh glow to it. I wake up and like what I see in the mirror! \n I am of the very pale skinned brigade and spend most of the winter months being asked if I am ill due to my skintone - over the last few weeks nobody has commented about my paleness. I don't think this is a coincidence - I genuinely think this is due to Buffet and Rose Hip oil. Time will tell and I will post another review in a couple of months time.\n What I do need is assistance with some of the other products though. I currently apply Buffet, then I've introduced the Caffeine Solution + EGCG (for dark circles) and then Rose Hip oil. If I wanted to introduce both Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalene and Natural Mositurizing Factors + HA where would they go?

I don't have a single negative thing to say about this product, I'm in love! I use it every single morning (Hylamide SubQ at night) after I wash my face. It has a lovely viscous texture, but only takes a couple of minutes to absorb. I then apply my Resveratrol, moisturizer, & SPF, & everything layers beautifully on top. For those experiencing pilling, make sure you're applying your products in the appropriate order, apply thin, even layers, give each product a moment to sink in before going in with the next, & make sure you are gently patting your products into the skin, NOT rubbing. I have extremely sensitive, dry skin & Buffet works wonderfully by plumping & hydrating my skin without causing any irritation or breakouts. It's a perfect start to any skincare routine regardless of skin type, age, or skin concern. I plan on keeping Buffet in my routine for a very long time!

I LOVE this product. I must be on my 5th plus order of it by now. I have sensitive, mature, delicate, English Rose tyoe skin. This serum is lightweight enough not to upset my delicate skin but thick enough to feel like you are applying something of substance that might actually work.. It has been a great addition to my moisturising. routine. Applying it before The Ordinary moisturiser helps the serum stay next to the skin and locks in the moisture, applying it first also helps the moisturising cream glide on. easily too. I sometimes use The Buffet on it's own after cleansing at night. I get lots of compliments on my skin now and even though I have just turned 50 often get told I do not look it. In fairness I have not been a dedicated skincare routine follower either until the last year or so! The Ordinary products have turned me around. This product is definitely worth trying,

WOW! I cannot believe the bottle is about to finish and I am hesitant in using it up until my next one comes along. I have sensitive skin prone to redness and breakouts around the cheeks and forehead. I was a little doubtful at first because this is a jam-packed formulation, hence the increased price. However, lo and behold it offers some of the best restorative, moisturizing and replenishing. I am in my early twenties so I always grab things that say anti-aging on it which is why most of my regimen consists of products that claim similar things. I have deep laugh lines which I am slowly trying to stop from getting worse by using Agireline solution and Buffet. Didn't really notice much differences, however it is a wonderful serum like addition to any skin care routine.\n Thank you for this product!
