SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense - 30ml

I see a lot of hate for this product, and consistently it seems due to impatience. This product does not offer overnight results. But over time, my complexion has become so even and consistent its exciting. I just purchased my third bottle and only use it once a day at night under my night creams to avoid any sun exposure issues. So hopefully the reviews that the formula is different is not true! Even my local spa stopped carrying it so maybe it comes down to physiology, everyone is different. I am brown skinned and spend an inordinate amount of time in the Southwestern sun. But i'm also therefore an SPF junkie. SO my advice is be patient like 6 months+ patient. And no matter who you are or where you live slather on that SPF

I do like this serum a lot and noticed it fades away newer dark spots such as recent blemishes but not older ones that have been there for years. To be fair nothing does. I have an appointment to get laser done for more resistant spots and plan to continue using this product!

A licensed Esthetician working for my atologist recommended Discoloration Defense as I have a quarter size dark spot (from sun damage) on my cheek. After approximately 14 weeks of twice daily use on my well cleaned face, I can honestly say that I have noticed this dark spot has lightened quite a bit! I'm very impressed with this product! For those saying that the product doesn't work only after only using it for 4 weeks or less, you won't see any change. It does takes multiple weeks of twice daily use. I have no plans to stop using Discoloration Defense. I'm confident that it will continue to lighten my dark spot!

I am halfway through my first bottle and I am definitely seeing improvements. There was a dark line in my under eye area on one eye that wasn’t there a last year. I don’t know when this happened but am so glad this product worked quickly to bring my skin back to its normal color. I’m 69, of African descent, and new brown spots keep popping up. Glad to have this product in defense of discoloration.

My go-to for clearing up hyperpigmentation and dark marks from acne. My skin type is Fitzpatrick VI and it works great.

I combine this wonderful product with a Vitamin C serum as suggested in Voque. My sun spots/age spots on my face are already noticeably lighter in just 3 weeks. The skin on my collarbone, where I also apply it, is smoother. Very pleasant texture, easy to apply and absorbs quickly. Leaves a nice, soft touch to the skin.

Fantastic product. Not only does it lighten brown spots and keep my skin supple and glowing, but it also does not cause acne break outs. I highly recommend using it with Retin-A.

I have fair skin in my 60’s and tried this. I really liked it. It made my skin feel smoother and brighter. In the , they tried to talk me out if it for vitamin c(had previously) & im glad I got it. Nice to look in mirror in am and see an improvement for a change! :)

This product was just ok for me. When I used it for the first time, it made me breakout on my forehead, which is the area I have a lot of acne scars. After using it a couple times I did not see a difference, but I think that's because I would have to use it for much longer.

I bought this a few weeks ago and have been loving the results. This combined with bimonthly peels have been extremely helpful in combating the hyper pigmentation I've had from acne breakouts. The difference in my skin has been unbelievable, I swear I can see the marks on my face fading each day after I use this. I know it's pricey for a small bottle but a few drops really go a long way. I use a few drops 2-3 times each day. I have medium/olive skin so I almost always have a dark spot after I have a pimple, and Discoloration Defense has been a lifesaver. Not sure how it effective it would be on deeper skin tones or darker marks, but it seems to be working well for me.

I haven't seen any big changes in my dark spots but have only been using the product for 1-2 months. I'm going to keep up the routine for another few months and see how it goes.

I'm 46 and I have used sunscreen on my face daily for about 30 years. I'm fair skinned and normal daily activities would leave with a sunburn. So in high school, long before anyone was wearing sunscreen in their daily moisturizers (when the most I could find was SPF 15), I was doing so. My skin looks pretty good. I don't have a lot of discoloration or brown spots on my face and neck. But I have a couple that are pronounced and a few more around my eyes are popping up as I age. I got a sample of this and used it on only my spots and wow, what a difference I saw! They didn't go completely away, but they lightened so much that I couldn't see them under my light-coverage foundation. So I just bought this product again and I'm looking forward to seeing whether they lighten even more over time with consistent use.

I have enjoyed this product so far and do not have any complaints. My only hesitation is that I use it in conjunction with the CE FERULIC by skinceuticals (which is my absolute favorite, and I've tried a lot of products!!) I took a hiatus from my preexisting skincare routine to take part in a product trial. After a month, I was ready to return to my old ways (the product trial did not work well for me.) I returned to my existing routine which included the CE FERULIC, in which I decided to try a new addition, the discoloration defense. So far, my skin is looking great but I'm not sure if it is only due to the CE Ferulic or both in combination.

I love skinceuticals, and have used many of their products for several years. I noticed a sunspot and was ordering Emollience anyway, so I figured I’d try the discoloration defense. I use it daily, as recommended, with my SC cleansers and moisturizers. Some days I feel like my skin tone looks more even and some days I feel like I see a shadow where I may have not blended the product as much. This effect changes daily so I figure it’s not set in stone how the product works. Overall, I like it. There is no odor, it absorbs well and appears to work. I will probably purchase this product again!

I love this product. I know going through these hard times in life like everyone else , I’m sure I would look 80 times worse if I wasn’t using this product! I love love love it! I also love the triple lipid cream ! A must have. My texture is everything I thought I couldn’t have and it’s a game changer. I’ve had numerous compliments on my skin ! Even though I’m hard on myself literally I do see the difference and my skin feels like a babies butt ! Literally changed my self confidence and I actually enjoy getting ready in the morning now. You guys are genius,. You got this down to a science Incredible!!!

This serum right here is the holy grail, and you cannot change my mind about it. I complain about my dark circles a lot, for good reason. They've always been there, they are not easy to cover up, and they are DARK. This lovely little serum is one of the only things I've tried that REALLY works. In a matter of a week, my dark circles did a total 360. I'm not sure if it's the tint of the serum, or simply the high quality ingredients, but there's something in this that just works. This is honestly the priciest product I use consistently, but it's worth purchasing! A tiny bit goes a long way, so one bottle lasts forever which makes the price tag hurt a little less! 😅 Seriously though, if you know the struggle that is dark eye circles, invest in this. Worth. Every. Cent.
