The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5 30ml

I’m addicted to this product. Without it my skin flares up I do not know why. I use it immediately after cleansing. \nThen use it again to dissolve Vitamin C powder.\nHonestly, I use a full bottle for in just 2 & a half weeks.\nI love it so much. ❤️‍🔥

I bought this item a few months ago for my face (I have dry skin and hair) and it was okay at most for that, but my hair is a different story. I have coarse pretty thick Afro (type 4 looking) hair that gets easily dry. I decided to mix this with sunflower and tea tree oil as a detangler/prepoo and it has made a HUGE difference. I’ve been using it for a month on my hair and it retains moisture much better, it’s soft and manageable and doesn’t need as much TLC as it used to. Ive tried a lot of treatments and brands but adding this to your conditioner, prepoo and/or shampoo will make a difference for a fraction of the price!

Of all the many serums I have tried from the Ordinary, and any other skincare line, this is without a doubt my favorite. I buy it again and again. I would say the best way to describe the effect this has on my fair, dry, sensitive skin is: strength. My skin feels protected, firm, bouncy, and strong after I use it. It is light and feels like a deep drink of water. When I ruined my skin barrier a few years ago I broke out in acne and dry skin patches. This serum helped re my skin barrier and clear my skin. I’m 29. I have been using this for about 4 years. I wear it morning and night under my moisturizers. It will continue to be a staple of my routine indefinitely.

I love this product. I have very dry skin in the winter and I often prefer this to a moisturizer, even with a dry tight face after a hot shower. I've tried hyaluronic serums, and they just don't do anything for me. This consistency is water-like, but mysteriously and wonderfully effective at hydrating. It did sting slightly the first couple uses, but never since... even after a break when I ran out and re-ordered, I would love a product like this in a larger size with spray bottle for the body.

A friend recommended this and decided to try. It instantly boosts hydration and radiance, my skin looks so radiant and my husband thinks Im always wearing make up when Im not. I highly recommend this.\n I’m doing a retinol or acid… and honestly I started using them both together at the same time since day 1 and it’s just always been a good combo. i know the amino acids + b5 really helps my skin with hydration. I never get dry skin (on my face) and I live in a really dry climate.this is my Holy grail now

I've been using this product for over a year now and love it! I use it as the first step in my routine. By itself, it can leave a sticky feeling, but I learned that by applying it when my face was still slightly damp, lessened the stickiness. I eliminated the stickiness by using SPF and lotion (or just lotion at night) at the end of my routine. My skin has never been more smooth. \r\n\r\nI have very sensitive and dry skin. This is one of the only products I have no trouble with. I highly recommend for a boost of hydration. But please note, in my experience, it works best when lotion is applied as well.

I am so so upset that this has caused me to breakout so badly, even when I was having pimples it was never like this and some are so sore. I will be travelling next week and wanted to make my skin nice and now I have just made it worse… I understand everyone has a different reaction but mine was definitely not good and I am so upset

I have never had a breakout from using this and I break out easily. I use this in the morning after Hyaluronic acid and before Niacinamide then put sunscreen on and do my make up. At night I have 2 different routines that I mix up 1, I use Hyaluronic acid the Amino acids+B5 then Niacinamide plus retinal product and moisturise 2, I use Hyaluronic acid the Amino acids+B5 then Vitamin C and moisturise. I am 47 and customers at work constantly tell me I look late 20's. they do not believe I have a 24 year old. I personally don't think I look that young but it happens enough that I must not look my age. I look younger in my late forties than I did in my late thirties because of this routine.

Mixed with my moisturiser does a great job, it’s good on its own as well as long as applied on damp skin, otherwise gives a sticky feeling for a couple of hours. \r\nBut best use for me was to mix it with my hair conditioner or an overnight treatment on my scalp! I’m was not sure if I could use it this way but after googling all ingredients I decided to give it a go and my damaged hair has never been shinier and stronger. Multi use serum for me!

When it comes to serums I look for ones that will add a some extra goodness to my basic skincare routine. I feel I've found that with this product! \r\n\r\nI have combo skin and finds this works on all areas of my face. It didn't clog my pores or cause pimples, so hurray! Although I wouldn't say it could stand alone as a one and done product for hydration, it still provides support in that area. Just a note on texture, it is a tad runny. But I find it manageable by adding these drops to my moisturizer and applying both products at once. \r\n\r\nSo if you're looking for extra support in your routine, I'd check this serum out!

I have been using this product for 2 weeks. It was all good, it moisturized my skin and the tackling sensation lasted 1 minute and just after the first application.\r\nToday I applied it as I normally do and some red zone appeared on my face.. I don't know what happened but I think it is irritation. I don't know why I got it after two weeks. Can someone explain it to me?

As someone who has tried The Ordinary's hylauronic acid and moisturiser to varying degree of success, I was starting to really stress about just how dry my skin was. No matter how much I moisturised or what I was using...my skin would always flake around my chin where I was also using acne medication. \r\nI've been using this for two months now and I've had no flaking! I feel like it really has helped repair my skin barrier and I'd even say it's plumpened my skin too. \r\nI use 4 drops on my face after washing it in the morning and then follow through with niacinimide or azaelic acid and moisturiser and my face is bright, plump and ready for foundation with no flakes! Highly recommend, first product that's really had a massive impact on how I feel about my face :)

To be completely honest, I have no idea what it is but this product is simply brilliant for me. I have dry skin, and I've used already several bottles of this product, which for me is a lot. I am not completely sure how to distinguish the effect because the changes were very subtle at first but the fact is, that using it, my skin is simply so much more hydrated, and no matter what moisturizer I use, I finally don't flake or don't feel the dry skin. In the beginning, I was using it twice per day, and I simply felt my skin was less dry. Now I'm using it just in the evening, and it feels good enough. It offers this solid, constant hydration. Very light, so it doesn't bother me on the face, a great first layer for other serums.

Like others who have left reviews, I think this product is really hydrating. I use it when my skin is dehydrated from drinking too much coffee or being in a cold dry environment. I first heard about b5's from a YouTube influencer who said to use it in the winter when your skin is dry.\r\nI wish I had known sooner that this product can be combined effectively with peptides. I was skipping peptides on days that I was using this at first.\r\nCombining this product with a peptide serum can improve the overall serum texture and benefit.\r\nYou can also use it at night before a retinol.\r\nI find it's uncomfortable when I first put it on my skin but then the sensation goes away and the benefits are fantastic. You might want to dilute it with a bit of oil if you have sensitive skin.

I have been using this over the past 12 or so months and have repurchased multiple times. Nothing hydrates like this does (and I've tried a lot of different products from many different brands). I have combination skin and can't use face oils or squalane as both cause hectic CCs and breakouts. It hydrates exceptionally (and not just on the surface - it really feels like it works through the layers) and doesn't cause any issues whatsoever. I use this in the evenings as I find that it is slightly oily/sticky feeling (despite being water based) and does feel a bit heavier than some of my other serums, however, the oily/sticky feeling disappears relatively quickly. This product can be layered and I've never had an issue with pilling. 10/10, will forever repurchase.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through a bottle and will definitely reorder. I have dry, sensitive skin and I layer many different products in my routine. With this product I have discovered I can use quite a few less products in the morning. My routine:\r\nAM; wash with The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser\r\nVitamin C serum\r\nTony Molly Wonder Ceramide Mochi Toner\r\nThe Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors\r\nSkin Aqua Super Moisture Gel sunscreen\r\nI do find that it makes any products you put on top harder to absorb. I make sure that I let things dry before trying to put my sunscreen on. Takes a little bit longer to get the sunscreen to rub in and dry, but once it's on it looks great! Gives a nice plump glowing look to my face. Don't use too much, three or four drops is plenty

I'm sooo in love with this product because of what it does for my scalp skin and hair! I'm applying few drops in the evening on my scalp for few months already and it help to reduce the hair loss, these are growing much faster and ends are not breaking any more that much. Especially I'm happy that it help to reduce the scalp skin irritation as I have quite often the allergic reaction on most of the shampoos or conditioners. So it made my skin less sensitive! Only one not so exiting thing is that makes hair a bit sticky that's why I'm applying it only in the evening and wash it in the mornings. However I'm so happy about it!!! Love it and will keep on using due to all of it benefits for scalp skin and hair!!

I have been using this product for just over a week now, it is bringing me out in tiny red spots on my cheek area and my cheeks are also red after using this. It does not FEEL like it's irritating my skin as it feels fine when I put it on however it LOOKS like it is irritating my skin about half an hour after application. Because this was my first time trying The Ordinary and I purchased a few products to use together, I decided to be diligent and do the patch testing, and boy was I glad I did! The area where I tested this product out gave me a rash within an hour!Thankfully, I chose to do a little personal investigation, washed my skin, and tried again in the same spot. The rash went away pretty quickly after the shower and the second patch test was a success! My best guess is that there was something else on my hands or skin that the product reacted with, causing the reaction. While this isn't the fault of the product, it wouldn't hurt to be a little careful when testing this out. I still have hope after that second test, so I am currently diluting it down until I am fully confident that my skin won't have another reaction. WOW! I am beyond impressed with this! I struggle with dry, depleted skin, especially my under eye area, which is crepey & hollow looking, making dark circles more pronounced, aging me terribly. I've tried every hydrating/plumping product I could get my hands on with little to no improvement until I tried The Ordinary's Amino Acids + B5. The formulation is very watery & soaks in quickly but my skin is instantly hydrated & plump, even my under eye area, which I considered to be a lost cause up until this point. Fine lines are diminished & my under eye area is smoothed out, which magically takes years off my face! I'm quite shook tbh but grateful to Deciem for creating this magical elixir. I was excited to find pure amino acid molecules because they are a powerful natural moisturizing factor. But I ended up not a fan. It left a tacky layer over my face after applying, even with only 2 drops. I would definitely love to enjoy the plumping moisturizing effect it has on other users, but the potential that its tackiness traps dusts in pores makes me recoil. Can’t believe this! I don’t prefer oils for my skin even though my skin is very dry. I thought I’d try this one on a whim since it’s oil free. Since there is no product description, I was also a bit wary but decided what the heck. It kind of behaves like an oil, but it absorbs wonderfully. It works great before bed and under makeup. I absolutely love it because my face feels so soft and seriously GLOWS. I can barely feel any of the tingling, it’s so subtle that I wouldn’t notice it if I hadn’t been looking for it. My skin is highly sensitive and I no adverse reaction to this product whatsoever, it is very gentle. I’m so glad I found this before the cold weather sets in!
