The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque 50ml

I've been using for over a year now every 7/10 days, although I have dry skin I have had no issues with this, it leaves my skin feeling very soft , smooth and bright.

My second time using it, it will strip ur skin if u have sensitive skin/naturally dry skin already. Moisturize right after, It was still irritated after moisturizer. Overrall my blackheads are getting cleaned out lol just becarful

I’ve been using this mask for a month now once per week as part of a routine that includes the AHA Peeling solution once per week, niacinamide 10% twice daily, the matrixyl in the pm, azelaic acid in the AM and Natural Moisturizing Factors twice daily and I finally have the skin I craved!\r\n\r\nEverything else I use really targets skin appearance but this mask was the missing piece of the puzzle. It gets right in there and clears out all the congestion and has my skin looking visible cleaner & brighter immediately. \r\n\r\nThe negatives, like almost everyone said I’d love a bigger easier to use tub. Also the smell is really off putting and not pleasant.

I purchased this about 2 months ago and I use it every week on Sundays and Wednesdays, and let me tell you my acne has gone down so much. This product has really helped limit my acne and I noticed results after the first 2 weeks. I am definitely going to repurchase this. In the directions it says to use all over face but I mainly apply it only to the areas where I have a lot of acne, especially because this product is VERY drying. But I usually apply it right after I shower, then I rinse it, and I put on my moisturizer and my skin feels so smooth and my acne bumps start to fade. This product is AMAZING!

Wow, I can’t recommend this product enough. I saw a reduction in blackheads and general breakouts after the second use! It’s a little messy but not hard to clear up, so not the end of the world. I’ve tried many acne products before but this is truly wonderful. I doubt I could live without it anymore!! Plus they’ve added a larger size... I’m over the moon. As always thank you ordinary!

I don’t have oily skin, so I use this once a week, sometimes every other week as a full mask. I use it more as a spot treatment masque for those stubborn hormonal pimples. It helps that out a little bit. Even though I don’t have oily skin, when I use this masque on my entire face, it does not feel dry and extra tight when I rinse it off after ten mins. I hope TO will consider a hydrating masque!

I just used it today along with everything else I was recommended and I really Iiked it.\r\n-it was a thick creamy smooth texture when allying \r\n- on my skin (yours can react differently) it tingled at first (almost like it was going to start to burn) but then it cooled down after a few minutes.\r\n- once dried, it tightened on my skin (like all masks do) \r\n- after 10 min it came off easy and went back to a creamy smooth texture when I was washing it off.\r\n- once its all off my skin felt like I just splashed cold water on it so it feel refreshing for a little while (are supposed to wash off with warm water btw) and my nose especially felt less textured and soft.\r\nAll and all the instructions were very straightforward and helpful on the back and it’s super easy to use after washing and drying my face.

I try to avoid buying the 50 mL products and I'll be buying the 100 mL next time. The tube is so stiff that I have to cut the end of it off to get the remaining product out. Photo shows how much was still in the tube after I could no longer squeeze any out.

I absolutely love this mask! I have large pores on my nose that no matter what I do have a constant buildup, this is the only product that has ever helped. This product has shrunk my pores more than any other products, no matter how expensive. I use this mask 2-3 times a week on my nose. I put it on a little thick, not too thick, but enough to peel it off after about 10 minutes drying time. I feel much more confident with the way it has helped my large pores become 1/3-1/4 of the size.

First time using this brand and this product, and wow! I have always struggled with pore build up and black heads and just ten minutes and I can see a noticeable difference. I was just about to pay too much money to get a facial! Great product will keep using.

I LOVE that mask! I saw a difference after the first application. My skin was smooth and bright. I am 34 and I have a combination skin with the T zone oily in the summer. I have congestion and it really helped with the pimples and the sebaceous filaments! Highly recommend !

The texture is lumpy and has been ever since I got it. It's also really hard to get out of the tube. I've used it quite a few times and fairly consistently. Maybe it works, I can't really tell.

So I have been using this product twice a week to help with the adult acne, reduce the black heads and even out my skin tone and its done more than any other masque has done ever. It did take about a month before I noticed a difference but it was literally like I woke up and my skin was different - I have sensitive skin and this did not set of my sensitivities which many other masque's have done. All around fantastic product. \r\n\r\nThe tube on the other hand is like 1 star - its hard to squeeze the product out and twice know I have thought the product was empty and cut off the top of the tube and found it was still half full. I ended up scooping the rest out and I got another 6 masks (full face) out of it, I feel like a jar would be better for this product.

Oh Ordinary, what is this witchcraft?!? This mask is fabulous. Just used for the first time and my skin is transformed. I’m a big fan of the AHA peeling solution mask which is great too but better for anti aging than unclogging pores and reducing spots and acne. With this mask you can really feel the magic working deep in your pores. I applied the mask not too thin (but not too much either) all over my face leaving for 10 minutes. Felt the grain in the mask was a bit unnecessary until washing it off where it felt like you were rinsing off a scrub which feels like an extra cleanse. I am obsessed with this skincare range and have very few bad reports on the majority of products I’ve tried. Nowhere near as good as the solution. It’s just ok. It makes my skin dry and doesn’t seem to exfoliate as well as the solution. When will that one be back? I recently discovered that I should be exfoliating my face with a chemical exfoliant (it’s gentler than physical exfoliating apparently) and I’m really enjoying this product. My face not only feels good afterwards but I’ve been using this for a few weeks, with my full The Ordinary regimen (I only just added this mask to my regimen), and my skin is looking much smoother. I have oily skin but a dry apartment so I’m always trying to tweak my routine for the best, and I think I’m almost at my final routine now.Only complaint is that they don’t offer a bigger size so the product can be hard to dispense after a few uses. I would love a 100ml or more version especially since the product can get messy if you’re trying to squeeze it out of a stubborn tube. Overall though I’m very happy :)

Have only tried this masque twice but feels great on and afterwards. HOWEVER I think the ordinary could do soooo much better on reusing their packaging, I enquired about a recycle/closed loop system but you advised you don't have one. Considering all your packaging is quite similar this seems to be something that would not be difficult to implement and would help to continue to improve this brand. I've used this once a week now, and leave it on anywhere between 5-10 minutes. To be honest I haven't noticed any difference in my skin (no decrease in oil, blemishes, or blackheads as is promised). My skin does feel clean after I wash it off though. Not exactly thrilled about the product as I am not seeing the desired results or any differences at all. Juuust used this for the first time, and I'm really impressed! My skin is sensitive, combination, and hormonal acne prone, with lots of large pores and bad texture. In short, I am blessed. I've had bad reactions to salicylic acid in the past (burning, redness), and haven't noticed much difference with clay masks except just being super dried out. But when I washed this off after 10 minutes my skin looked better than it has in ages - bright, even, reduced redness, smooth, tiny pores. It isn't a moisturising mask - it requires serums/ hydrators afterwards, but it definitely delivers. I will be using this a couple of times a week from now on, thanks TO! I've only tried this once so far but I'm very impressed. I didn't notice any difference after first using it but once I woke up (as it's recommended to apply in PM) there was a big change in my skin. I have acne prone skin and it made most of the blemishes disappear and others shrink away to hardly noticeable. I'll definitely be using this weekly, possibly even twice a week as it says you can. It goes on well and dries quickly, so you're better off applying in sections. It's very important to apply to dry skin as it's very water soluble, which makes it super easy to remove. I have acne-prone, normal skin and I absolutely love this mask! It’s gentle and non-drying but at the same time very effective. I use it once or twice a week and I noticed a significant improvement of blackheads and whiteheads, and the pores on my nose look better too. I think it’s an absolute must-have for acne-prone and/or oily skin types, but it might be a bit drying for very dry skin. I would love to see this mask also available in a larger size – the 50ml goes by pretty quickly. Honestly, I would buy like a 10 liter bucket of it, I love it so much! I was desperately looking for something new to decongest my pores and help stop my frequent breakouts on my cheeks. So I visited the Abnormal Beauty company where a sales person told me how he loved using this masque. It’s been about 4weeks and I am in love. This masque goes deep and declogs my pores and prevent future breakouts from happening. I can literally feel the difference beneath my skin with less and less goblets of sebum pits. It’s fast acting. My only wish is that I could use it more than twice a week lol. It’s now a staple in my skin care routine with my other Ordinary products. This company and the products it makes is just AMAZING!!! With my ordinary skin care regime my oily blemish prone skin usually stays clear except when I get sick. My skin had broken out and I was applying the salicylic acid solution which was somewhat (slower than I wanted) improving my skin/blemish appearance but when the mask arrived in the mail I tried it right away hoping it would help. I applied it for the 10 mins and the next morning my skin look so much better with less redness, minimized or vanished blemishes and overall smooth and clearer skin. I will be incorporating this in as a weekly thing and also for those bad breakout days. My skin did feel a little tight after washing off but I applied my regular moisturizer and everything was good by morning. Very happy to have this as an option.
