Ingredient safety

How to read our ingredient information and use active products sensibly.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Full ingredient lists

Every product ships with its complete INCI list printed on the box, exactly as supplied by the manufacturer. The key actives are also summarised on each product page.

If you need the full INCI list before ordering, email us and we will send a photograph of the current batch packaging.

Patch testing

Patch-test any new product on a small area of skin 24 hours before first full use, particularly acids, retinoids and vitamin C.

Stop use if irritation persists and speak to a pharmacist or doctor.

Using actives together

Introduce one active at a time and build frequency gradually. Retinoids are evening-only; vitamin C is best in the morning.

Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is essential when using exfoliating acids or retinoids.

Pregnancy, medication and skin conditions

Some ingredients, including retinoids, are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

If you are pregnant, taking prescription skincare or under the care of a dermatologist, check with your healthcare professional before adding a new product. We are not able to give medical advice.

Cosmetic products, not medicines

Everything we sell is a cosmetic product. Our descriptions cover the appearance and feel of skin. Nothing on this site is a claim to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or skin condition.
