The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA 30ml

It's the best serum I've ever had. You can see the results in a short time. I have problem with my blemishes for a long time and I've used many products and also tried microneedling and similar techniques but didn't get the wanted result. I started my skin regimen using the squalene facial wash, multi-peptide serum, alpha arbutin and hyaluronuc acid serum on January 31st of this year. It’s supposed to be applied morning and night but I’m too lazy to do it so most of the time, it’s just a once a day application. Once or twice a week, I also use the glycolic acid toner (minus the multi-peptide serum because they can’t be used together). I would always end my routine with my Olay total effects moisturizer and if I would go out during the day, I would apply my Vichy SPF 60 sunblock. I really noticed my pores shrunk and my acne scars lightened. I didn’t use any camera filter on my pictures so I would be able to compare the changes with my skin blemishes after a month.

I used the old formula which was nice but this new formula really stinks of bad eggs, what a let down

This new formula broke me out real bad. They need to bring back the old formula.

This has helped my discoloration a lot. I have been using this for several months now and my splotches were horrible. Skin is smooth and splotch free.

The ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA is a supercharged with Alpha Arbutin( which is safe skin brightening ingredient which help to reduce melanin product so that your skin appears more glowly and enhanced) Its little watery viscous in consistency. This serum targets hyperpigmentation dark spots. It also has hyaluronic acid which helps to lock the skin moisture so that this serum its advance active ingredients deep into skin. I am using this serum from few times and feels my skin is so smooth and much better in appearance

I have been struggling for years and having mature skin and different tone on face against the neck makes me feel sad as I have um even tone. However, I saw a review of a atologist on this brand and product and I thought of giving a try and it was the best choice ever. I combine with other things but this product makes a real change. I was very insecure about my dark acne scaring and I was looking for a product asap this product I can across and did my research on before I bought. I was hesitant to put a new product on my skin but this was the best product I have ever used it cleared up my small acne bumps and cleared the dark spots within 2 weeks! 5 star I love!

This product works just as well as atologist solutions to clearing acne scars, but is so much cheaper! Would recommend to absolutely anyone

I had hyperpigmentation due to sun exposure and some old scars. This works. Apply to face morning and night. NOTE: effectiveness maybe diminished if you combine it with other products-excluding sunscreen. Allow 3 months before making I’ll comments. My atologist was shocked.

Only used this a for a short time before I switched up my routine, but planning on re-introducing it since it made my skin tone very bright and even. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't have HA in it. Not sure if the HA is for formulation/stability or just because they want to add HA, but I use other serums with HA and am trying to limit how much HA I'm using at the same time. Just don't think it needs to be in everything.

I really liked this product, but now it smells like onions? It's really off putting. I preferred the previous formula as the color change didn't bother me. Not sure the smell is something I can get used to.

This product has completely transformed my skin! I achieved the best results by using it twice a day, applying it in the morning and at night before bed and applying it after I cleanse my face but before my other skin care products. Because I have sensitive skin, I worry about irritation. Thamkfully i didnt experience any! It has helped reduce my dark spots, reduce the appearance of a large scar on my face, and smoothed the texture of my skin. I was blown away by how quickly I started seeing results. It is silicone free, alcohol free, gluten free, cruelty free, and is vegan too. These are all things I love in a skincare product. I honestly can't say enough positive things about this product. If you are thinking about trying it, do it immediately! You will not be disappointed! I received this as a gift from theordinary and couldn't be happier about it!

I started using the old version of this product in the clear bottle, which worked wonders, I saw a change of my dark sports within a week, and in one month my face was spotless. After my bottle finished I reordered, only to receive the new version in the brown bottle, the product was completely different and I saw no changes after using it for 3 weeks, eventually I stopped using it as not only did not work but it also smelled horrible!!! I searched online and reordered from an online retail and got the older version in which I can confirmed worked well. Please BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA IN THE CLEAR BOTTLE, with the clear formula, as I won’t be buying the new formula it’s horrible and smell really bad, I hate applying it on my face due to the smell and made it worse that it did not work after using it for a complete month. Horrible product, why change the formula if it wasn’t broken?

I have been using this product for over 2 years and had loved it’s spot fading and skin brightening capabilities, but I too have noticed a change with my last two bottles. Not only has the color of the serum changed from clear to a light yellowish brown, but the consistency is thinner and not as “tacky” or sticky than before. Additionally, I’m not nearly getting the same effect. The first time I tried the discolored serum a few months back, I broke out bad. Now I think my skin has just gotten used to it so I’ve stopped breaking out, but there’s no fading going on at all. I feel like it’s doing nothing now but I just continue to use it in blind faith because it used to work so well. I really hope those Deciem lab techs can figure out what happened and bring back the clear serum we all fell in love with.

I started using this only 3 days go and have been applying morning&night along with the inkey list hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and azelaic acid - and my skin feels and looks amazing\r\nI have combo skin ( oily t zone and dry cheeks) and always break out on my cheeks, which leave hyperpigmentation.\r\n\r\nMy skin began to feel dry from using the azelaic acid and night (also a great product to prevent breakouts) - since using alpha arbutin my hyperpigmentation has slightly faded, skin feels plump and hydrated\r\nThis also makes my skin glow under my makeup and when I wake up in the morning - also no more dull skin\r\nIts also reduce the breakouts I had \r\nIf this has happened in a few days , I cant wait to see how my skin looks in a month!

My holy grail product. I get fast results when I use Alpha Arbutin 2%. At 2 weeks I notice visible improvement in skin tone and my hyperpigmentation from acne was fading. By two months I had achieved and even skin tone with continued use. Use 2 drops only and rub between palms then pat and rub onto face, focusing on the areas that are affected by hyperpigmentation. My only complaint is that because it's so viscous and thick, you tend to run out of it very quickly so I would highly suggest to sell this in a 60 mL. size as well. PRO TIP: Since I have acne prone skin my tip is to use Niacinamide + Zink alongside this (Niacinamide first then alpha arbutin) in the morning to control excess sebum, heal current acne, sooth irritation with zinc, and both products evens out skin tone over time.

Day 3. Already seeing results. I know. I know. Everyone says that, but I mean it. I actually did not feel the need to wear any foundation today, and I haven't done that in years. Not even to the beach! I took before pictures of my rapidly worsening sunspots. They are lighter now. I have no burning, itching, or sensitivity with this product. I wash with sibu sea buckthorn oil cleansing bar, then use this, then moisturize. I patch tested on my inner elbow before to check for allergies. I'm going to start testing the niacinamide+zinc tonight, because I get some small blackheads and clogged pores and tiny sporadic adult acnefrom time to time. Nothing super bad since I started using the sea buckthorn soap, Also, will be testing azaliac acid next week.

I have old acne scars and hyperpigmentation. This is probably my favourite TO product but I do also love the 2% retinoid emulsion, the niacinamide&zinc, and squalane cleanser. I also recently purchased the pycnogenol. I always use a max of 2 serums at a time and tend to space them out or only use them on alternate evenings (slow and steady is my motto and it's proved effective as the serums are pretty potent). My skin will never be flawless but after using these products for only 2-3 months, I already look so glowy and the scars have seriously evened out. Can't wait to see results after a year or so. Definitely follow the advice on very gradually introducing products into your regime and try not to get stressed looking for immediate improvements!

I am IN LOVEEEEE with this product. My skin is constantly a fight battle with acne, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, dryness, oilness you name it, and this has been my holy grail product (along with Salicilyc acid and Nacinamide+Zinc). My hyperpigmentation problem is no longer upset me! It evens out my skin tone, lightens up the dark spots. If I get a new zit, it will be gone within 1-2 days and no dark marks left. I have been using this for 5 months now in my routine to keep acne/hyperpigmentation at bay. I am so happy with my skin! It's nowhere near perfect but it looks glowing, healthy, and more important, I am feeling so confident without foundation/BB cream etc. I think the most important thing is that it makes you feel confident about yourself, your healthy skin (at least to me!) This product immediately makes the face look smoother and more hydrated, due to the HA. I did a little experiment and only used on half my face for first 10 days and was quickly convinced it made my skin look healthier. However, I bought it to improve pigmentation from sun damage and pregnancy. I have used it morning and night for about three months and theres zero difference in pigmentation. I took photos before and after to check. On reading a bit more I believe Niacinamide has more scientific evidence behind it for hyperpigmentation than Alpha Arbutin, so am going to try that instead after finishing this bottle.

This is the first review I have ever written for any product I've used and I honestly believe this product deserves the greatest amount of praise and recognition. I used to use the Murad Active Radiance serum for my acne scars and it was definitely improving them but I would start seeing results at about the 3-4 week mark and not to mention it costs $110. At this point, I finished my first bottle of it and I was hesitant to buy another bottle because of the high price point so I did my research and read countless reviews on Ordinary products, Buying this serum was one of the best things I have done for my skin because not only did my acne scars started fading away within 2 weeks of using it, its also less than $10 for a bottle!! So naturally I bought like four bottles LOL I can't thank you guys enough!!

I use it as a spot treatment on some sunspots and on blemishes or red irritated skin. It gets rid of the redness and helps with the discoloration after blemishes. I even created some disasters when I squeezed some pimples and I didn't get scars or discoloration. I can see that sunspots (mine are not very noticeable anyway) are fading but it took me months to see improvements, but it's better than nothing at all. Probably for heavy pigmentation issues and dark sunspots you can't rely on this product only. I'll repurchase it. I've been using this product for couple of days now, and I have a question. After I apply it, my face is dry within seconds and my skin tightens a lot. And after I complete my routine my face itches. Is that normal? I use Aplha Arbutin with other products and this is the order I use them. In the PM: Salicylic Acid 2% Solution + Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA + Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% + and then moisturizer. And I just started using Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% (on it's own with moisturizer after). And in the AM: Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% + Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% + SPF + moisturizer. \n Am I using it correctly? If you have another suggestion on how to use them I would appreciate it.
