I have dry skin and thought that the Glucoside Foaming cleanser was not for me- I received a sample and BAM- I am hooked and in love. On my 4th (?)tube. So gentle

I have very dehydrated skin due to age and thyroid condition and over the years have found most facial cleaners very drying. Then I found The Ordinary foaming cleanser and have not looked back. I've been using it for almost two years now and would highly recommend this facial wash for mature dry skin - it's the best.

The first time I used this cleaner, I wanted to see how well it removed makeup. The verdict: not so well. I ended up needing to use a makeup remover to get the mascara off and then cleansed again. Tonight I used my usual cleansing balm first and then followed with the Ordinary glycoside foaming cleanser and that was the perfect combo. My skin feels clean but not stripped. Easy to use, no perfumes and easy to rinse. My skin was a little dry but it often is unless I use a hyaluronic cleanser and I went right to my serums and moisturizes and now my skin is happy.

PROS : it doesn't dry your face as quickly before applying a toner. The smell is tolerable. \nCONS: it doesn't remove dirt from face properl, when you apply the toner the dirt from skin is still present. \n\nSick of seeing influencers review products, they get it for free obviously the reviews will be positive for the most part. Irritating.

I had previously been using the Squalene Cleanser which I found to be not effective in removing makeup. Once I used the Glucoside Foaming Cleanser it was a hame changer.\nIt's gentle but at the same time a great makeup remover and Cleanser.

This will be my new go-to cleanser! I had been using the Squalene Cleanser for years. Now that I’m living a more active lifestyle, I found I needed something a little more intense in my regime. Maintains the skin barrier while removing dirt and improving skin texture.

Although I’ve only just started using this cleanser in my Ordinary daily routine, I have to say I’m impressed with the way it removes my make up, especially mascara and brow tint

I have been using this for the last two months and it's a fantastic product I like the squarline cleanser too but this trumps it. Skin is so soft and glowing after using. It removes all makeup without making skin dry, I'm 59yrs old and need the moisture. Great, product.

I’ve been using this for over a year now I think - I found the squalane cleanser broke me out a bit, so I switched to this one. It’s super gentle and my skin has never been irritated when using it. My skin is generally not problematic, but I just find this cleanser leaves me feeling amazing. I don’t wear face makeup so I can’t really speak to how it would do removing makeup, but overall an incredible product in my opinion. My brother didn’t do skincare until I convinced him to try this. Basic but does the job wonderfully, lasts a long time and is an amazing price for the job it gets done.

I have been using this for a month now and have had one small breakout, but I know that breakouts are caused by the product doing its job and clearing out impurities, not actually causing the issue, like a lot of people bang on about, if your skin is breaking out then the product is working and you just need to carry on using. I use a small amount and it goes a long way, If I used the same amount as what is used in the Instagram posts I would have enough to clean my entire upper body! and I am not a small-framed guy lol. But I am glad you have come out with something that doesn't also remove makeup because I don't need that factor but Love this and it will be my go-to cleanser from now on, please never stop making this.

I bought this at the start of Slow November 2023 and have used it for two months. It's a good, no-frills gentle foaming cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin or cause me to break out. The smell is okay, it's not overpowering but does have a slight chemical scent to it.\r\n\r\nThe formula is quite runny so you tend to use more than you need. It can also be difficult to work the product into a foam in the evening when your skin is oily and if you've worn sunscreen that day, you'll probably need to double cleanse to get that clean feeling. I think I'll get about 3 months of use out of this product when I can typically get 4 to 4.5 months out of other cleansers.\r\n\r\nOverall, I liked using this product and would buy it again during Slow November or some other promo event but I wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase it at full price.

I’m usually nervous to try new cleansers because my skin is so sensitive. But I was pretty confident I would not react negatively to this cleanser. And I didn’t. This product is not really scented. It kind of smells like baby soap to me (it is supposed to be gentle enough for babies according to the description). I like that it doesn’t strip the skin. Especially since my skin has been very dry and peeling due to a harsh cleanser I had been using to clear my skin. This did help my skin feel more supple. I like this best as a morning cleanser rather than a night time cleanser as without exfoliating it doesn’t remove makeup. But when I use this product my skin feels soft, refreshed, and clean.

My first impression of the product was cleanliness honeyyyy! My face felt so soft and clean during my night time routine and I love that for me! I used the product consistently for about 2 weeks and I so see a glow in my face. I love how this product is not heavy and it’s fragrance free. I just feel clean lol I even use it when I’m removing my makeup and it gets it all off! As a darker skin woman, I have used cleansers and have woken up to my foundation on my pillow or sheets. I have mixed thoughts about this facial cleanser… it’s kind of a thin, liquidy, gel, slippery, consistency. When it’s first in your hands, it can slip off pretty easily so you have to hurry and try to lather it up with both hands so it doesn’t slide off your hands. I do sometimes shake the tube to see if it helps, not sure if it does or not though. It actually does a pretty decent job at at lathering up. I feel like you have to use a lot of the cleanser to actually have enough to wash your face, because of the consistency. It has this weird awful chemical smell to it. It’s hard to explain, but it’s definitely not a great smell. I do think it cleans my face pretty well, like squeaky clean. My face is really dry, and this cleanser doesn’t make my face feel any drier after using it in the shower.

So I’ll start with, it will definitely be a need add in to my skin care routine!! Cleanser comes out in a clear like jelly feel and for me it didn’t foam much not as expected ( yes my face was fully wet) but it wasn’t much of a problem to me. I have been using the cleanser for about a week now and my skin feels so soft and bright my small acne scars have lighten a little which is a plus for me. I face was dry around my nose and chin area and I haven’t had any dry spots since adding this cleanser to my routine. So over I really just loved it is was super gentle on my skin while helping it return its glow

This is such a gentle cleanser that cleans the skin thoroughly without stripping your face and making it feel tight! It works perfectly for all skin types and is also suitable for sensitive skin! This has more of a liquid gel-like formula and although it is fragrance free, it has a slight clean scent, which is pleasant. I wouldn’t use this to remove makeup; however, I think it is the perfect daily cleanser! It made my skin feel soft, smooth, and it evened my skin tone. This cleanser has a gel like consistency, it goes on very smooth and feels very soft on the skin. Once I applied water it felt so nice, it glides on lathers effortlessly. My skin felt hydrated after using it, unlike some other cleansers that make my skin feel stripped immediately after washing. I had no irritations or bad reactions. There isn’t a scent, or none that my nose can pick up so it should be safe for people who are sensitive to fragrances. I also let my mother test it out, she is 65 years old, and she also really enjoyed the cleanser. So it works well for all ages. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try a new cleanser out.

Right now, my skin is going through a very dry period. I double cleanse every night - so I used this after using the Biossance Squalane + Elderberry Jelly Cleanser. Lately, my skin is super tight and uncomfortable after cleansing because it’s so dry at the moment, but I was beyond pleasantly surprised that my skin didn’t feel that way after using this. It effectively removed all makeup left behind from my first cleanse but still left my skin feeling a little hydrated. I was a little disappointed because it says it’s a foaming cleanser, but there was zero foaming that occurred when using this.

With this, I can wash my face everyday and my skin feels amazing, it prevents breakouts for sure if used twice or even once a day and I can use my other skin care and it doesn’t interfiere with other ingredients.
