The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA for Scalp 60ml

Ive been fighting an itchy scalp, i used a hysrocortisone topical to control the itching. It was not doing much for the dryness and tightness id feel on my scalp that led to the itching. I was sick of trying different oils that didnt moisturize my scalp and didnt want to have a greasy oily scalp. Im so glad i came across this. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT LEAVE A SHINE, is quickly absorbed, relieved my tightness, dryness, itchy scalp and the flakiness. i love it so much i wont even drop a star for the less than perfect application(the drops run down my bald head before i can set the applicator down and rub it in)..THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN GOD SEND. dont ever discontinue.

As someone who has a super dry scalp and lots of dandruff, I wasn't expecting this product to work as well as it does. Within two weeks, I've seen an immense improvement in the dryness of my scalp, specifically around my roots. I apply every day, shortly after I shower. I've found that a little bit goes a long way, and my only complaint is that it's caused the area around my roots to become slightly greasy. It's not super noticeable, but I would suggest applying in small amounts. All in all, I would definitely recommend this product and have found it to be very effective!1`

I have heavily chemically processed hair, thermal reconditioning for the past two years. I had dry scalp before, and the chemical processing has only worsened it. It's dryer, itchy and painful. I had been using Alma oil and Bhringraj oil before shampooing to try to sooth my scalp, but the oils are not great for everyday use (I wash my hair once a week). Since using this product by scalp is visibly healthier, with each use my scalp gets less and less painful and itchy, it also doesn't seem to leave any noticeable buildup or residue on my hair. I am absolutely in love with this product.

I bought this a while back and have rarely used it because it makes my hair look greasy every time. I use it as directed on my scalp, but it's impossible to not get it on your hair too. I don't want to keep using it on my clean hair just for it to make it look dirty again. It did not cause a reaction on my sensitive skin, though.

I inherited age-related thinning hair. I’ve used minoxidil for years and choose a gentle hair care regimen: no color (my full grey is a lovely platinum), wash/condition every 3-4 days, low impact styling for my long, textured bob hairstyle. Aside from an itchy scalp, that has had okay results. Better than the alternative, right? After my daughter recommended The Ordinary for skincare which I love. So I decided to try this as well. It has made a difference! My scalp is significantly less itchy or not at all, my hair silkier, shinier. My daughter told me my hair even looks fuller. My only recommendation would be a little more direction for application. Based on these results, I’m going to try Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density as well.

This serum effectively hydrates my scalp. My head feels really healthy, and the dryness and occasional itching that I used to experience have vanished. I have the healthiest scalp I've ever had. I don't hesitate to apply a small bit even to my hair (despite The Ordinary's claim that it is not a hair product), because this serum gives it a velvety feel. I'm on my second bottle and only see benefits in the product. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using this for a year to improve my scalp health and give some moisture to my hair. It’s a great non greasy treatment I put on after I shower.

So I have an insanely dry scalp, not sure why just have overall very dry skin and have struggled with dandruff for a while. This is a very awesome scalp treatment. I’ve been using it for a month. It does not make my hair greasy at all and I have noticed a significant improvement in my scalp dryness, definitely less dandruff and less overall dryness and itching.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and whilst I know I’ll need to wait a while to reap the full rewards, I love this product!!!! I’ve been using this most nights before bed as instructed or occasionally in the morning. It’s made my scalp, which has always been pretty itchy and uncomfortable, feel a lot calmer. As a result, I’m touching it a lot less and it feels way less greasy, and I can actually go a few more days between washing my hair - which is something I’ve wanted for ages! It may also be that because of the hydration, my scalp is less oily. Either way, it’s great, and I’ve been talking about it non-stop! Find that it doesn’t leave my hair looking greasy or sticky at all (I have naturally straight and mid/thick hair). Easy to use if you’re familiar with other products from the Ordinary and their pipettes.

Ive used this product two times now. Only thing I’m confused about is when to use it. It says to be applied on dry and clean scalp before in the PM.\r\n\r\nI always use heat protection and other products for volume in my damp hair before blowout. Does my scalp still count as “Clean” with products in it? Otherwise I won’t be able to use it as often as I planned…

I used 2 bottles of hair serum and the hairs on my head started to grow at the points where my hair was reduced by hair loss! amazing but true :) Thanks a lot Deciem :)

This is a product that you apply to dry hair. I was afraid it would make my hair look greasy, but it didn’t. While I really noticed a difference in my hair while using the shampoo and especially the conditioner, I didn’t notice a difference in my hair with this product. Maybe this product is better suited for someone with dry hair or a dry scalp. I don’t really have that issue. The product was ok, but not great for me

this voxbox couldn't have come at a better time I have never used this product but I have been experiencing a very dry scalp along with major dandruff I have only tried this once hoping it will give me some relief

I bought this since I have awful dandruff issues and I'm kind of desperate for a solution. I've been using this in combination with another hair oil and anti dandruff shampoo. Immediately on the first use, I noticed a massive difference in my dandruff. I would normally wake up with a pile on my pillow, now it's a much much smaller pile. However omg it makes my scalp so oily. I noticed it the first time and wasn't too concerned, but I washed my hair and used it last night and in less than 12 hours my roots feel like I haven't washed my hair in 5-6 days. It's insane. Maybe it's reacting in combination with my other oil or I'm applying it wrong, so I'll experiment and see what's up with that. For context, I have very thick 1A/B Asian nonbleached hair, hair is washed every 3ish days, scalp doesn't get super oily unless I don't wash for 4+ days

I got this for my dry scalp that I have had since birth. It’s doesn’t flake unless I scratch it but it doesn’t itch either. So only me and my atologist notice it mentions.I have thin full light brown hair that’s healthy looking with dry scalp but if I don’t wash it every day the next day it’s oily. I can’t leave it oil cause I’ll get acne on my head and those hurt. I’ve tried everything and nothing to prevent it. This product I use before bed and take my morning shower. My hair feels oily in the shower after I shampoo. I’m thinking this is not good cause I can’t have oily hair but I let it be giving it a try and after my hair dries it’s not oily like I thought it would be it’s amazing so soft shiny and beautiful. To soon the tell on the healing of my dry scalp but I love the way it makes my hair look and feel .. Thank you

For reference I have very long pin straight hair, try to only wash my hair twice a week, and have been having scalp issues lately. I've been using this right after I get out of the shower and I only put it on my scalp. The precise dropper is perfect and allows me to put the serum exactly where I want it. It looks like watered down milk and has the same consistency, which is fine. It's really dry where I live and this has helped keep my scalp from getting too dry and itchy. Also, it's unscented which is great for sensitive scalps. The only downside is that I did get a couple of tiny break outs on my scalp which has never happened before but they went away quickly. I wouldn't use this daily though because I think it would make my scalp too oily. Overall, I really liked this serum and will most likely but another when I run out.

I had no idea what the purpose of this brand was before researching it myself.\nI haven't really noticed this serum doing anything to my hair. I saw in some reviews that people were saying that it made their hair greasy. I started using a few more drops, and still did not notice any change or any feeling of greasy hair. \nI also saw a few people saying that they could feel their roots growing in softer. That *may* be the case for me, but I honestly cannot tell if that's really happening, or if I just have that in my head after seeing other reviews. \nI have dry ends from a bad bleach job two summers ago. This product has done nothing as far as helping that. I honestly cannot say if this product has done anything beneficial for my hair or my scalp.\nOverall this is probably not a product that I would buy again. It does not seem to be doing anything great for my hair.

I was a bit skeptical when I received this item. I was afraid it would make my hair greasy, but I was wrong. my daughter has complained of dry/ itchy scalp for quite some time. I let her use this along with the shampoo and conditioner, and this product is one of the only things that was successful for her. It calmed her itchy dry scalp almost immediately. she is very picky about what she puts on her hair (for this very reason), but the simplicity of ingredients, the lack of a strong medicated scents, and immediate relief made this product a no brainer. it is now a staple in not just my hair care routine, but my whole family. My favorite thing about this product, is the low price. I have been known to spend extra money for better hair products, so to find a product that works so well and doesn't break the bank, I am extremely happy!

I had a hard time integrating this into my daily routine which is probably why I've only given it three stars is because I haven't actually used it every single night for a prolonged period of time so I don't know what the actual results are but what I do have to say is I was so scared that this was going to make my hair super greasy in the morning and I already struggle with oily hair and build up on my scalp and I can say this absorbs into the scalp super well it doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy I don't look like a grease ball when I wake up in the morning can I tell if it does anything for my hair no can I say that adding it to my routine has not negatively impacted my life in any way yes I will continue to try to integrate it into my daily routine and see how it goes

It's not right for me but your results may be better. I have dry scalp issues as well as itchiness so I wash my hair no more often than every 3 days. I had high hopes for this serum. Even if I had to increase washing frequency, losing the itch would be worth it. While the product seemed to be moisturizing, it made the itch worse rather than better and using more than a few drops increased shedding. I applied to my arm a few times thinking perhaps I am sensitive to an ingredient but had no reaction on my arm. I don't quite understand this and I hesitate to blame the product when it is likely just my sensitive noggin to blame. But, it didn't work for me and I will not purchase again.

I've never used any scalp specific serums so I have nothing to really compare this to. I haven't noticed any extra hair growth, but my hair has been drastically falling out due to postpartum. I found that at first the product seems to be oily but once left in overnight as the instructions say, it absorbed well into my scalp and roots. It made my scalp feel replenished and didn't cause any extra buildup. My hair is thin and fine and i still seemed to use a full dropper to cover my scalp. A little does go a long way but not as much as the bottle says to use, at least on my head. It says to use on dry hair, but I almost always shower at night. needless to say, I used this on dry and wet hair and it worked well on several occasions per different application. I believe i could see results the longer I use it, typically you can see results around the 6 week mark from what I researched.

Believe it or not, this was my first time trying products from The Ordinary. I just haven't had the chance even though I am dying to try some of their skin products! So, it was nice to check out hair stuff. My hair is fine and normal, but does get dry when I don't wash it (and I don't shampoo every shower). All you do is shake it up and put a little on your scalp before bed. It has become part of my bedtime ritual (brush teeth, wash face, skin stuff, use this on my scalp, spritz my pillow with sleep spray...). Some other reviews said it made their hair greasy. Maybe they were prone to have greasy hair? It worked well for me, so maybe that means my hair and scalp are dryer than I thought. I only use a little at a time, too. So this 2oz bottle will last a long time!

This was my favorite product I received from The Ordinary Haircare products. It is non greasy & it really works. I section my hair in 6 sections and use the dropper that is supplied to add the serum to my hair. It states that it is best to use at bedtime & that's when I have been applying it. \nIt is not greasy which is a huge plus!!! leaves no build up what so ever & my scalp feels refreshed. I have only used it now 4 nights in a row and feel a difference. This will be something I will continue to use as my nightly routine & will highly recommend. \nAt first I doubted it would work. It is watery & looks like coconut water. There is no smell what-so-ever. I like scented haircare products, but it works so well I do not mind this. \nGive this a try! ❤️

I'm not sure what to think of this product. So far, it has done wonders for my dry burnt hair, but it has also caused my scalp to be oilier than usual and I hate having oily roots! For descriptive purposes, it is very light weight in regards to consistency; very similar to milk. It also has a light scent that is muted in its form. I cannot put my finger on what it smells like but it's very faint (almost odorless) and it bothers my nose. I don't know what about is off to me but I usually spray extra perfume on myself to get ride of it.\n\nMy first impression was that it would be a thicker consistent with a bordering chemical like smell - totally wrong! It seems like it will last for quite a while.\nDo I reccomend it? No. I say this because I am still undecided for me, but it does seem like good product to keep in hand for taming and soothing dry slip ends!
